Man, You Don’t Know Jack! — 4 Comments

  1. Hi, Once again I come across one of Satan’s slaves!

You preach that heaven is the hope of the saved when the Bible quite clearly teaches humans are to live on Earth forever.

    • Ah, yes. By your accusation and doctrine, I perceive you are a Jehovah’s Witness.

Yes, I do preach that heaven is the hope of the saved. But you speak as though I preach that the saved will dwell in heaven forever, which I do not. Those who will remain on the earth during the thousand-year reign of the Lord Jesus Christ will not all be saved. There will be two groups: 1. The Saints (Christians), and 2. The Nations (everybody else):

“And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

“And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

“And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them” (Revelation 20:7-9).

As you can see, after the thousand year reign of Jesus Christ, Satan will be let out of the bottomless pit, and will go out and stir up all the unsaved people against the Lord Jesus and His people, who will be dwelling at Jerusalem (the camp of the Saints). God will destroy them all in a moment. The Bible goes on to say that right after this, the devil will be thrown into the Lake of Fire, where the Antichrist (Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI) and the False Prophet (The Jesuit Pope Francis) will be waiting for him. Then will come the Judgment.

There is no more mention of the Nations in the Book of the Revelation, which means that only the saved will be left to dwell at New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:2), part of the “new heaven and new earth” (Revelation 21:1).

So, you are wrong: the Bible does not “clearly teach” that humans will live on the Earth forever, because this Earth will not be here forever, but will “pass away” (Revelation 21:1).

Instead of calling people Satan’s slaves, I suggest you get yourself a King James Bible (if English is your preferred language) and study it, and remove the yoke of ignorance from your neck.

  2. Hey brother,
I recently found chick tracts myself and I do have a few issues with them. However, I wanted to ask you to attempt something that may help with the hand signals above. Please try to raise your hand in the “Halt!” or “Stop!” position without trying to intentionally spread your fingers. Your middle and ring finger will naturally stay together. Putting your middle and ring down and leaving the pinky and index up is a satanic hand gesture, but even then, I have seen some of my dearest brothers and sisters in Christ do that on accident. Some who I know for 100% sure are born again believers. One was my earthly dad. I do not recall, but I am sure that I accidentally did that too at some point in my life with the Lord Jesus.

My point is that we cannot immediately jump to conclusions about someone just because they may accidentally do what appears to be a hand gesture. Maybe use it as potential evidence, not damning evidence. Give those who appear to be genuine brothers and sisters the benefit of the doubt, lest we ourselves fall into condemnation for judging falsely. Remember that the gestures themselves are not evil, but what is in the heart of a man that intentionally does those gestures is the “heart” of the matter. I hope that this finds you well. Peace

    • Hello, brother, and thanks for your comment. You are right: we should not immediately jump to conclusions about something that may be accidental. But we had better pay attention when we see something time and again that appears to be communicating something, whether good or bad, especially in a Christian tract that is used to win souls! I have not condemned Jack Chick, in fact, I even stated in the article that we should not stop using Chick tracts because of this issue, but, rather, pay attention to which tracts we use when we are trying to reach a particular audience. I continue to use Chick tracts to this day, because they are one of the best witnessing tools available.

That said, this hand sign is in widespread use, especially in Hollywood, as I have demonstrated. In the tract, “Why Is Mary Crying?” the angel Gabriel displays the Cult of Mary hand sign, and he is not signaling ‘Halt!’ or ‘Stop!’: neither is Mary a few pages later. Because this was drawn by someone, and the context in which this hand sign is being used does not support its use, then it is clear that this was done intentionally for a specific purpose. And I will stand by this, based on things I know are happening in the world, while the mass of humanity and especially the Christian church is fast asleep. Jack Chick may not be directly responsible for this hand sign appearing in one of his tracts, but it happened on his watch, and he therefore must be held accountable for it.

We as Christians have been admonished to watch in all things. I’m merely doing my part, as we all should.

“Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand” (Daniel 12:10).
