I Will Greatly Multiply Thy Sorrows

The Gospel Light And Truth Crusade

Grace and peace saints.

For years, the mental health field has sought to understand why women suffer more from psychological disorders like depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder than men.  An article entitled, “Why do Women Get Depressed More Than Men?” tackles this subject. (Click here to read the article.)  The article quotes a book entitled A Deeper Shade of Blue: A Woman’s Guide to Recognizing and Treating Depression in Her Childbearing Years, wherein the author offers these particulars about depression in women:

“Depression is about twice as common in women as in men, with about 1 in 4 women suffering from depression at some point during her lifetime. Depression may strike at any time, but women appear to be particularly vulnerable during their childbearing years. Women are at highest risk for depression during pregnancy and shortly after delivery.

“At no other point are women more vulnerable to depression than during their childbearing years.  How can we explain this susceptibility to depression?” [Boldface mine.]

According to the author, experts are not sure why women between the ages of 18 and 30 experience a disproportionately high incidence of depression and anxiety than men, but they postulate that it might have something to do with hormonal changes in a woman’s reproductive system during this time.  The theory fails, however, to explain why women continue to have problems with depression long after their childbearing years.

As Christians, we must remember that everything in the physical world has a spiritual origin.  This holds especially true of psychological disorders. If, therefore, we cannot explain something medically, it is because the explanation is not medical, but spiritual.  Unfortunately, the majority of the medical and scientific community are not God-fearing people.  So rather than look to the Bible, they instead say, “We don’t know,” or propose various theories, which, though ineffective, often become the de facto explanations.  This is tragic, for everything we ever wanted to know is in the Bible, if we would only take the time to read it.  So if there is no adequate explanation for why women suffer more from depression than do men, we need only look to the Bible, where God has provided the answer for us in plain language.

You may be surprised to learn that the reason women suffer disproportionately from depression than do men–especially during their childbearing years–can be found in the Garden of Eden.  You heard me right: the Garden of Eden. Now, I know that some women will resist this teaching, because Satan does not want women to have this information.  He knows that if you grasp what the Bible has to say about mental illness in women you are going to learn how you can be set free from depression and anxiety.  He knows that you will no longer have to go to anger management classes.  He knows that you will no longer have to waste your hard-earned cash on psychotherapists or medication.  And he knows that with this information, your self-esteem will be restored, along with your peace of mind.  He knows you will be set free.

Satan knows that the Bible is so clear on the matter of mental illness in women that any thinking woman—Christian or not—will be able to grasp and appreciate what the Bible has to say.  And he doesn’t want that.  So he’s going to tempt you to get angry, defensive, and downright mad.  He’s going to try to close your mind to this teaching.  We are not going to let him get away with that.  Let us therefore go to the Lord Jesus in prayer for help in opening our minds, our ears, and our hearts to what His Word says about depression in women.  Let us pray:

“Dear Lord Jesus, may your blessed Holy Spirit open my mind, my ears, and my heart to this teaching on depression.  Please prevent Satan from hindering me in any way.   I ask this in your name.  Amen.”

Before we continue, I want to point out that the fact that a woman is more likely to suffer from depression and other mental illnesses during her childbearing years is a very important clue to understanding the disparity in mental illness between men and women. So, with this in mind, let us journey back in time about six thousand years or so, to the Garden of Eden.  For it is there that we shall discover the key to unlocking the mystery of women and depression.

Now we know that it was in the Garden of Eden that the first sin occurred.  And it is commonly believed and taught that it was Eve’s disobedience that brought sin into the world.  But Scripture clearly teaches that it was Adam’s sin that cursed us:

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” (Romans 5:12).

You may ask why it was that the world was cursed because of Adam, when it was Eve who first ate the fruit.  Well, it was because God had given Adam dominion over the earth and everything in it.  For before Eve was even created, God had given Adam authority over the earth:

“And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof…

“But for Adam there was not found an help meet for him” (Genesis 2:19-20).

Adam was given dominion over the earth, evidenced by God letting him name the animals.  So it would be Adam’s actions that would bless or curse the earth, not Eve’s.  What does Adam’s sin have to do with the higher incidence of depression and mental illness in women?  A lot more than you may think.  Now let us look at what God said to Adam after he ate the fruit:

“And unto Adam [God] said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake” (Genesis 3:17).

Again, it is commonly believed that God cursed the earth because of Eve.  But as we can see, God cursed the earth because of Adam.  But it wasn’t merely because Adam ate the fruit that God cursed the earth.  Adam actually did two things that brought sin into the world, not just one.  And the first of those two things directly concerns our discussion.  Let us examine God’s words carefully:

God said,  “Because thou (Adam):

1.  “hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and

2.  “ hast eaten of the tree…

“Cursed is the ground for thy sake.”

Did you see that?  God not only cursed the earth because Adam ate the forbidden fruit, but because he “hearkened to the voice of [his] wife.” God punished Adam for listening to Eve!  To understand how serious this was to God, you must understand that God had essentially made Adam the king of the world.  Adam was boss.  We have already seen that God let Adam name all the animals.  In that he who names a thing owns a thing, God allowing Adam to name the animals proves that they belonged to Adam.  But let us now see further evidence of Adam’s ownership of the world:

“And Adam said (about Eve), This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man” (Genesis 2:23).

“And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living” (Genesis 3:20).

Did you see that?  Adam not only named the animals, but Adam named his wife also.  And not only did Adam name his wife, but he also named her kind: Woman.  Adam invented gender!  Clearly, Adam was not only the master of the earth, but he was also the head of his family.

Because Eve spoke with Satan, instead of Adam, she had basically made herself the spokesperson for the family.  This was not a good thing, because Eve was taken from Adam, not the other way around.  Adam, then, was the head–and, thus, the spokesperson–for the family, and not Eve.  When Eve spoke with Satan, she usurped Adam’s authority.  She made herself the boss.  And the decision she made while in that position had tragic results for mankind.

Now, to understand what this has to do with depression in women, we have to look at what God said to Eve after her sin; for the key to the equation lies therein.  God said to Eve:

“I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee” (Genesis 3:16).

God cursed Eve.  And the curse was twofold.  God said:

“I will greatly multiply…

  1. “thy sorrow and
  2. “thy conception…”

This passage is generally understood to mean that God cursed Eve by making childbirth painful, which is true.  But there is much more that is meant here.  Notice that the word “sorrow” is mentioned twice in Genesis 3:16.  God invented language, so He knows about synonyms, homonyms, and antonyms.  God knows there is more than one way to say a thing.  So when He uses a word twice, it is not because He has run out of vocabulary.  It is because He wants us to pay attention.  God wants us to consider the word sorrow.

When we consider the word sorrow, we immediately understand that though it is used twice, it is used in two different contexts.  The first time it is mentioned it is part of a clause wherein the verb “multiply” modifies both the word sorrow and the word conception, and both words are separated by the coordinating conjunction and.  The sentence literally can be read:

“I will greatly multiply thy sorrow, AND I will greatly multiply thy conception.”

Because the word sorrow here is mentioned together with the word conception, it is generally understood that both have to do with childbirth.  But they don’t.  The first instance of the word sorrow has to do with worry, while the second instance has to do with childbirth.  To prove this, let us go to Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible.  The first instance of the world sorrow (“I will greatly multiply thy sorrow“) is the Hebrew word itstsabown (Strong’s #6093), which means “worrisomeness” or trouble.

The second instance of the word sorrow (“In sorrow thou shalt bring forth children”) is the Hebrew word etseb (Strong’s #6089), which means “(painful) toil” or “a pang” (as in birth pangs).  In other words, labor.  It is the second instance, therefore, of the word sorrow that has to do with childbirth.  The first instance literally has to do with worry, or, as it is commonly called today, depression.

We may therefore reword the passage to read,

“I will greatly increase your worries and your pain during childbearing.”

God is literally saying that He will both make life worrisome and childbirth difficult for women.  In the second part of the verse, God reveals the exact way He will do this:

“In sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee” (Genesis 3:16).

God’s curse on Eve and all women will have three results:

  1. “In sorrow [women] shalt bring forth children.”
  2. “[A woman’s] desire shall be to [her] husband.”
  3. “[Her husband] shall rule over [her].”

You will notice that God presents the effects of the curse in reverse order to the way He presents the curse; for whereas the curse addressed a woman’s worries first, then childbirth, now God first emphasizes childbirth, then a woman’s worries.  This is intentional: He is saving the most important for last.

Let us examine these individually.

1.  “In sorrow thou shalt bring forth children.”

Recall that the Hebrew word for sorrow in this context means “painful toil.”  Toil means work, and it is for this reason that the pain a woman experiences during childbirth is known as labor.  Women were literally cursed with painful childbirth.

But if one considers the higher incidence of depression during a woman’s childbearing years, one can also see that the word sorrow also takes on the additional meaning of worry. This is why women of childbearing age experience a higher incidence of depression and anxiety characterized by excessive changes in mood and temperament.  It is literally due to the curse of worry that God placed on Eve.

Moreover, as God’s curse on Eve was a generational curse (because the blood had not yet been paid by Jesus on the cross), then this curse has been passed down to all women, in the same way Adam’s sin has been passed down to all mankind.  Proof of this is the fact that in the same way Eve was cursed with a painful delivery, so are all women cursed with a painful delivery right up to this very day.  This is no trivial thing, as hundreds of thousands of women die in childbirth every year.

Points two and three are important because they are the specific penalty for Eve having usurped the authority of her husband, which was her primary sin:

2. “Thy desire shall be to thy husband.”

Eve’s greatest concern would be to please her husband.  In other words, from that moment on, Eve would be preoccupied with how she could please Adam.  God did this to Eve, because it was her preoccupation with a talking snake that got her in trouble in the first place.  Eve was curious.  Had she not paid any attention to Satan, disguised as a harmless snake, she would never have been tempted to sin.  So, God cursed Eve with a preoccupation with pleasing Adam, to keep her out of trouble.

As this curse is passed down to all women, married women today have been cursed with a preoccupation with pleasing their husbands.  As the curse concerns all women, not just married women, then a single woman’s preoccupation will be with her man–her boyfriend.  Moreover, in that not all women have a man, but are still cursed, then the average woman’s preoccupation will be with finding a man (and keeping a man), getting married (and staying married), and having children.

This is where the worry comes in.  It is no secret that many, if not most women are worried that they may not find a husband.  In fact, many women panic if they are not married by the time they are thirty years old.  Also, at around this age, women become concerned with their “biological clocks”: the fear that they are reaching the age when they can no longer bear children.  For many women who reach this point, finding a husband and bearing children can become an obsession.  Just watch how the maids of honor at a wedding literally fight over the bouquet when the bride tosses it in the air, and you’ll understand what I mean.

For many women, the search for a suitable mate becomes almost a full-time job.  This can, and does, become a major source of stress in a woman’s life.  Women who have passed childbearing age and haven’t yet gotten married often become very depressed.  And for many women who successfully marry, but are too old to bear children, this can become a source of depression, from which they may never fully recuperate.  Now given that this in fact happens, can there be any doubt in the mind of any honest person that this is a curse?

We continue with curse three:

3. “[Thy husband] shall rule over thee.”

Did you ever wonder why women generally have such a difficult time in life?  Did you ever wonder why so many women time and again, find themselves in relationships with dominating men?  It’s a curse!

To understand why God cursed Eve in this way, it is important to understand the dynamics of Adam and Eve’s relationship.  Adam was the boss, yet he didn’t Lord it over his wife.  Adam wasn’t controlling.  If he had been, then Eve would never have had an opportunity to be tempted by Satan.  Adam wouldn’t have given her enough breathing room! But Adam wasn’t domineering, as Scripture clearly teaches that Adam and Eve were together when she was tempted by Satan, though it doesn’t say this in so many words. Adam gave Eve the freedom to follow her own will–with tragic results.  Now note that when God confronted Adam about his sin, Adam didn’t heap blame upon his wife.  When God asked him why he ate the forbidden fruit, Adam simply said:

“The woman…gave me of the tree, and I did eat” (Genesis 3:12).

Adam told the truth.  That was his nature.  Adam wasn’t accusatory, judgmental, or self-righteous.  Like Moses, Adam was “meek above all men” (Numbers 12:3).  Eve took advantage of Adam’s meekness and usurped his authority.  God, therefore, cursed all women by making them subject to men.  God made this a man’s world.

To fully appreciate this, you must first understand that it was not God’s original intention to make women subject to men.  Scripture is clear that though God put Adam at the head of the family, He looked upon Adam and Eve as partners.  Consider this verse:

“And God blessed them (Adam and Eve), and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over…every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

Genesis 1:28

God blessed both Adam and Eve and told them both to have dominion over the earth.  In other words, Adam and Eve were to be a king and a queen, not a king and his subject.  It was Eve’s disobedience that provoked God to change her role—and the role of all women. Because Eve usurped Adam’s authority, God cursed women with men who are no longer meek, like Adam or Moses, but controlling and domineering.  Are all men this way?  Of course not.  Are many men this way?  Ask a woman.  God cursed Eve and all future women with men who would rule over them.  And women have lived under this curse ever since.

This doesn’t apply only to marriage and relationships.  Women in general have been ruled over by men since the Garden of Eden.  The struggle for women’s equality came about as a result of man’s dominance over women.  The struggle for women’s rights in the workplace came about as a result of man’s dominance over women.  And the struggle for woman’s suffrage came about as a result of man’s dominance over women.

This is as much a source of stress and worry for women as is the need to find a man and have children.  For despite the fact that women are now CEO’s of major corporations, and are doctors, lawyers, and other professionals, by and large, women have never completely overcome the disparity in wages with their male counterparts, nor have they been allowed the opportunities for personal advancement that men have been allowed.  There are exceptions, of course, but there remains a huge difference between what a man can do and what a woman can do and what a man can earn and what a woman can earn: the so-called glass ceiling.

Moreover, it is a perilous world for a woman.  Women are more often the victims of violent crime than are men.  Women regularly experience more physical assaults than do men (domestic violence is a big problem in Norway). And women are always collateral damage in war, as rape in war-ravaged areas increases exponentially.  Even in peacetime, the rape of women in certain areas of the world (such as South Africa and the Congo) has reached epidemic proportions.

And women are not only the victims of violence.  Women are victimized in almost every conceivable way.  Women experience more discrimination than men.  Women experience more harassment in the workplace than men.  Women experience more break-ins than men.  Women fall prey to scams more often than men.  And women are routinely left pregnant and alone and have to rear their children without a man to help.

All these are a source of constant stress and worry in a woman’s life.

Depression and mental illness in women as well as the difficulty women face in general, are the result of God’s curse on women for Eve’s disobedience.  And, as painful deliveries are the norm today, so are worry and sorrow the norm for women today.  It truly is a man’s world. James Brown made it popular, but God made it happen.

So what is the woman suffering from depression to do?  How can she free herself?  To answer this question, let us turn to Paul’s first epistle to Timothy, Chapter 2.  In verses 9 through 15, the Apostle Paul discusses what the role and behavior of women in the Church ought to be.  It is verse 15 that holds the key for rescuing women from the curse of Eve:

“Notwithstanding she (Eve, or women in general) shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.”

Now, we know that when Paul says that women will be saved, he is not talking about salvation from Hell.  He is referring to the curse that God placed on Eve and all women. We know this; because Paul earlier states that he will not tolerate a woman to “usurp the authority over the man” (v. 12).  He then goes on to remind Timothy that Adam came before Eve (v. 13), and that Eve was deceived and not Adam (v. 14).  God is a merciful God, and He always provides a way out (2 Corinthians 10:13).  God says that He will free women of the curse of Eve, if they marry, bear children, and live a godly Christian life.

This should not be difficult for us to understand.  Eve disobeyed God by usurping her husband’s authority, and her disobedience led to her, and all women, being cursed by God.  As a result, all women are cursed with painful childbirth.  They also have been cursed with manifold pressures and worries, resulting in stress-related illnesses like depression and bipolar disorder.

But God says that He will rescue the woman who lives a faithful, charitable, and holy life—a Christian life.  This means that marriage and godly living, coupled with having children, will lift the curse of Eve from the woman.  In this way, a woman can reverse the curse of Eve, who rebelled against God and her husband and cursed all women.  The woman who gives her life to Jesus and lives a holy and sanctified life, comes out from under the curse of Eve and is set free.  This doesn’t mean that she won’t have problems: we all have problems.  But worry, as a perpetual condition, will be a thing of the past.

If you find what I’m saying hard to believe, just ponder how many older women you know of, especially those in your church, who walk around with a sour look on their faces, who don’t have any joy in their lives, and who are always cynical, complaining, or just plain mean.  Have you ever noticed that many of these same women are also domineering and sometimes even disrespectful to their husbands in public?  Show me a woman like that, and I will show you a woman who has usurped her husband’s authority in the home.  She has sown to the wind, and is reaping the whirlwind: the curse of Eve.

Understand that the reason many women are experiencing increased depression is because they have usurped the authority of their husbands. The author of A Deeper Shade of Blue touches upon this very fact when she says:

“Many have attributed [the disparity in the frequency of depression in men and women] to the various stresses women face as a result of their gender and the demands women face as they occupy multiple — and often conflicting — roles within the family” [Brackets and boldface mine.]

Since there are only three roles in a family: the father, the wife, and the child, “conflicting roles” most likely means when a women is acting as the head of the household in place of her husband.  Women should not have conflicting roles within the family.  God made man the head of the family:

“But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God”

1 Corinthians 11:3

The woman should not, therefore, attempt to usurp her husband’s authority; for, in doing so, she is actually going against the will of God.  In that God cursed all women because Eve usurped Adam’s authority, it only follows that contemporary women, being under the same curse, will experience great problems in their personal AND spiritual lives–especially mental problems–when they usurp their husband’s authority.  In that psychological disorders, according to the Bible, are actually spiritual, then it is no wonder many women suffer from psychological disorders.

Let me give you a very practical example of what I mean. One of our readers vehemently disagrees with my stand that bipolar disorder is spiritual in nature, citing medical research and her own doctor’s diagnosis that the disease has a medical basis. She ignores the evidence we provide that suggests that the medical establishment doesn’t really know what causes bipolar disorder. This is why they labeled it a disorder, which is merely “a group of signs and symptoms” (Webster’s Dictionary). A disorder is not the problem, but a sign that there is a problem. If doctors knew what bipolar disorder was, then they would call it whatever it is. But they don’t know what it is, hence the term, disorder.

Because she felt so strongly about this issue, this dear lady used language that was probably not as charitable as she would have liked.(She later wrote me and apologized for her reaction, much to her credit.) What is interesting, is that she doesn’t believe in generational curses, based on her interpretation of Galatians 3:13 (“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law”). But if this verse applied to bipolar disorder, then why is this lady still suffering from it? Isn’t bipolar disorder a curse? You bet your boots it is.

The Bible says, “A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways” (James 1:8).  Bipolar disorder is merely the politically correct term for schizophrenia, which literally means “split mind.”  A person with a split mind is unstable, and much of the behavior associated with bipolar disorder supports this.  If this lady has been “redeemed” from the curse, then why is she still suffering from bipolar disorder?  I’ll tell you why. Because generational curses are real, and bipolar disorder is the manifestation of a generational curse.  A person has to be delivered from a generational curse separately.  It is something entirely different from salvation.  You can be a Christian and still be under a curse.

I. Am. A. Witness.

I wrote about this in excruciating detail in Breaking Generational Curses.  This poor lady could have been set free long ago, because she obviously read the article.  But she chooses to be in bondage, ignoring the Bible’s clear teaching on this subject.

Now let me show you how this teaching on depression and mental illness applies to this lady, as well as many women.  Though she vigorously opposes my contention that bipolar disorder is demonic, and, thus, spiritual in nature, in her comment to our article on bipolar disorder and in her email correspondence to me, this lady has at times used angry and uncharitable language.  Now, she says she is a Christian, and I don’t, for one minute doubt her salvation.  But her reactions suggests to me that she struggles with anger and cannot tolerate opinions that differ from hers. Anger is not a sin, but what we say and do when we get angry can be.

Some of the behaviors associated with bipolar disorder include, but are not limited to:

  • Sexual promiscuity
  • Uncontrollable outbursts of anger
  • Pathological lying
  • Stealing
  • Swearing
  • Delusion (some bipolar people have testified to pretending to be someone or something else: like a government agent)
  • Spending money you don’t have
  • Aggressive behavior, including assault and even murder

Is it merely a coincidence that all of these behaviors are sin?  This is what identifies bipolar disorder as a spiritual disease that is demonic in nature.  Because society has largely turned its back on God and no longer considers sin sinful, we ignore this fact.  But there is no doubt in the Christian mind that much of the behavior associated with bipolar disorder is sin.  That is why doctors, for the most part, can only treat the depression and the anxiety.  There is no medical treatment for sin.

Though I cannot speak for her general behavior, this lady probably struggles with anger, as her comment and correspondence clearly suggest. That it is the result of a curse is evidenced by the part of her testimony she shared with me, which includes an activity that the Bible clearly defines as witchcraft.  This activity–by her own words, mind you–is generational.  Yet she doesn’t believe in generational curses! She calls me a “witch hunter,” because I have written articles defining certain behaviors that God, not me, said is witchcraft.  Understand that the Bible teaches that “rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft” (1 Samuel 15:23).  So, according to the Bible, you don’t have to cast spells to be a witch.  If you rebel against the Lord, you are as guilty as one who practices witchcraft.  Moreover, 1 Samuel 15:23 says that “stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.” Idolatry will earn you a generational curse (Exodus 20:4), just like witchcraft (Deuteronomy 18:10-12).

So one who chooses to ignore the clear teaching of God on the issue of generational curses is guilty of rebellion and stubbornness.  And God said that He would “by no means clear the guilty” (Exodus 34:7).  He will punish you.  That is what I believe is happening to this lady with bipolar disorder.  She chooses to believe what the medical establishment has told her about bipolar disorder, even though she is clearly still struggling with the disease.  She could be set free, but she chooses to live in bondage, ignoring the Bible to justify a rigid belief system.

Understand that according to the Bible, women are experiencing higher incidents of depression and other psychological disorders, because they are under a curse.  Curses can be lifted by Jesus Christ.  But one has to confess sin.  The only thing standing between a woman and freedom is either pride or ignorance.  Ignorance can be fixed with information, and that is what I’ve just given you.  But if your problem is pride, I can’t help you.  You should know, however, that the Bible says, “Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”  Pride is the enemy of spiritual freedom.

If you are a woman suffering from depression, bipolar disorder, or some other psychological problem, I want you to understand that I am not trying to cast any dispersion upon you or make light of your situation.  In fact, I am very sympathetic towards you, which was another reason I decided to write this article.  There are several women in my life who suffer from bipolar disorder and depression.  And I know enough about the personal circumstances of these women to know that they are under a generational curse.  They could be set free, but their pride will not let them throw themselves at Jesus’ feet and beg forgiveness.

This must stop.  God knows there are enough women in the world, who have been blessed with a husband and children and could care less about either.  But for a woman who truly wants a family, to not have one and, worse, to not have any prospects, It must be devastating.

If you are single, you must understand that God does not necessarily want you to stay in this situation; neither does He want you depressed out of your mind, because you keep getting into relationships with the wrong kind of guy and end up having your life ruined.  God wants you to find a godly man and settle down and have a family, submitting yourself to your husband’s authority as the head of the household.

If you are married, God wants you to be happily so, not one day in the throes of euphoria and the next in the depths of depression.  God wants you to be happy and satisfied as the wife of your husband, not usurping your husband’s authority and trying to wear the pants in the family.

As a rule, I don’t like static prayers.  I don’t believe that there is a prayer for this and a prayer for that, as the Bible doesn’t teach this.  All it really takes is for a woman to throw herself at Jesus’ feet and beg forgiveness using whatever language she can muster.  But because I know there are women out there who are suffering emotionally and are desperately yearning to be set free, I want you to pray something like this:

“Lord Jesus, I realize that Mother Eve cursed me when she rebelled against her husband, Adam.  I realize that it is because of her rebellion that I am having such a hard time in life, and am cursed with worry, depression, loneliness, and fear.  I understand that you have given women the blueprint for a happy life, and it all starts with accepting you as Lord and Savior.  I know, Lord Jesus, that I am a sinner and I need forgiveness.  I believe that you died and shed your blood for my sins.  I know you can free me from worry and depression.  Please forgive my sins and be my Lord and Savior.  Then, please teach me how to live a godly, pure, and chaste life that is pleasing in your sight.  Teach me how to appreciate the man’s authority in the hierarchy of the family.  I submit myself to your will.”

If you are married, but have not submitted to the authority of your husband as God intends, you may pray this:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I have not submitted to my husband’s authority as you intended, and I realize that this is rebellion, which is as the sin of witchcraft.  I understand that this is one reason I am having so many problems in my spiritual walk, and why I am depressed, worried, and restless.  I realize that you never intended for me to live this way, and that it is my own rebellion that has brought this upon me.  I want to be free, Lord Jesus, from worry.  I want to be free from depression.  I want to be free from suicidal thoughts.  And I want to experience joy in my life and in my marriage again.  I humble myself before you, Lord Jesus.  I’m sorry I was a rebel.  Please forgive me.  Please renew within me a desire to do that which is good and pleasing in your sight.  Please restore my relationship with you and with my husband.  Please restore my peace.  Thank you for forgiving me.”

Understand that this is not magic.  It’s not the words that are important, but what is in your heart.  So, if neither of these prayers perfectly describes your situation, tweak it to fit your circumstances.  The important thing is to realize that women are cursed with a rebellious nature, like Eve, and have been cursed with worry, depression, and other problems because of Eve’s rebellion.  As Eve was a rebel, so are all women rebels, to a greater or lesser degree.  I cannot speak for all women, of course, but let each woman reading this examine her own conscience.  And may you all make the right decision.  I want to see you well.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

Grace and peace, Saints.

I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything in about a week, but I have been busy working on a couple of articles that God laid on my heart, and they are taking a lot longer than I thought.  Besides that, I went to Belgium a couple of weeks ago, so I was away from my computer for that time.

The Belgium trip was especially interesting for me, because I visited the William Tyndale Museum and the William Tyndale park and memorial in Vilvoorde, Belgium.  I learned about the Tyndale Museum from the film, A Lamp in the Dark, the story of the Roman Catholic church’s efforts to destroy the Protestant Reformation and the King James Bible.

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEe7WtfvSnA

As you may know, William Tyndale was the first man to translate the Bible from Hebrew and Greek into English.  In fact, over 90% of the Authorized Version, the King James, was made from Tyndale’s translations.  The English-speaking Christian community owes a great debt of thanks to William Tyndale, who was martyred at Castle Vilvoorde, about 200 meters from where the Tyndale Museum sits today.

God willing, I will post the pictures and video that I made of my visit this week.  My first order of business is to bring you the articles I have been working on.  I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

The Importance of Fathers

The Gospel Light And Truth Crusade

via funnyimagepictures.com

Happy Fathers Day to all fathers–saved or not–and greetings to the rest of the world–saved or not.

As I reflected on the meaning of Father’s Day, I realized that the twenty-first century has seen more American children grow up without their fathers than at any other time in the history of this country, save wartime. This should not be. Fathers are vitally important to their children’s emotional and psychological development and well being, helping to mold their character and self-image. Fathers are important as examples, teachers, role models, and nurturers.

A good father lives by example and sets the example for his children.  As the first male in his daughter’s life, a father sets the example of what a man ought to be, showing her by example what she should look for in a prospective husband.  Studies have shown that many women who are divorced or in dysfunctional marriages grew up without a father in their lives.  They therefore lacked an example—good or bad–of what a husband and father looks like.  The father is the example for his children of how a husband should maintain healthy relationships with the opposite sex, in particular his wife.  Finally, a father should serve as the example of how a father and husband should manage his household and discipline his children.

The father is also his child’s first teacher.  Children learn from their fathers how to handle the challenges of life wisely, maturely, and responsibly.  They learn the value of patience, honesty, accountability and dependability.  And they learn from their fathers the value of hard work.

In most cases, a child’s father is his first moral example.  A good father therefore serves as a role model for his children.  As such, he sets the pattern for the their behavior, demonstrating how a mature, responsible adult should speak and act, and deal with the outside world.  It is a proven fact that children raised in a home with a responsible father are generally more mature and have fewer disciplinary problems.

The nurturing loving influence of a father is as important as that of a mother in a child’s formative years.  This is as true for boys as it is for girls.  In an increasingly hostile and violent world, boys need the unconditional love of a father to counter the dangerous influence of peer pressure.  And a father helps his daughter to form a healthy self-image by validating her and making her feel attractive and valued.  Nurturing of this sort helps counter the harmful influences of peer pressure.

Children who grow up without a father statistically are at a greater risk of becoming substance abusers, dropping out of school, being incarcerated, bearing and fathering children out of wedlock, or marrying multiple times.

The Gospel of John demonstrated the importance of The Father in the life of Jesus Christ:

The Father As Example:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do” (John 5:19).

The Father As Teacher:

“I do nothing of myself, but as my Father hath taught me” (John 8:28).

The Father As Role Model:

“I speak that which I have seen with my Father” (John 8:38).

The Father As Nurturer:

“Therefore doth my Father love me” (John 10:17).

If Jesus, Who is God Almighty, was so greatly influenced by His father, imagine the profound influence we earthly fathers have on our mortal children.

Moreover, when Jesus on the cross became sin for us (2 Corinthians 5:21), His Father had to leave Him for a season.  This separation was more agonizing than the pain Jesus suffered.  For Jesus said nothing with respect to His suffering, but when He could no longer feel His Father’s presence, He cried out, “Father, Father, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46).

If Jesus, Who is the Creator of the universe, sorely missed His father when He left Him—even though He knew it would only be for a short season—how much greater must earthly children miss their fathers when they abandon them, having no idea when or if they will return?

Clearly, fathers are crucial to the healthy development of children.  Under no circumstances, then, must we fathers leave our children.  We hold their futures—indeed, their very lives—in our hands.

If you need help being a good father, just ask Jesus. Here is what to pray:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I need help becoming a good father. I know that you died on the cross for my sins, and in so doing, made it possible for me to be the father you would have me to be.  Please forgive my sins, and come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior.  Thank you for saving me and helping me to become the father my children need me to be.”

If, as a father, you said that prayer, and meant it, then you can look forward to the Lord Jesus making you into the father you want to be and that He wants you to be.  You have my word on it, as well as the word of every former lousy father (which includes me) who ever prayed such a prayer.

Happy Father’s Day!

Two Marys

The Gospel Light And Truth Crusade

Grace and peace to the children of Light.

A Roman Catholic devotee wrote me recently in response to our article, The Virgin Mary: The Star of the Sea.  She said that after reading the article, she was so distressed that she felt compelled to write me and guide me into a more perfect understanding of the Virgin Mary.

As I read her letter, it became very clear that she was actually talking about two different Marys: one the mother of the Lord Jesus Christ; and another, the idol that Roman Catholics worship.  It is not difficult to distinguish the two: Mary, the mother of Jesus, is written about in the Bible, while the Virgin Mary is a product of Roman Catholic tradition, folklore, and ancient mythology.  The trouble is that when defending their teachings about Mary, Roman Catholics combine the two.  The result is essentially an un-Biblical hybrid that in no way resembles the mother of our Lord Jesus.

This was something I had never before considered.  So, in answering the lady’s questions, I tried to get her to understand that Roman Catholic teachings on Mary are extra-Biblical, and are, therefore, heretical.  Any description of Mary or characteristics attributed to her that cannot be found in the Bible describe another Mary.

In that this lady is very articulate and genteel in presenting her argument, and because her beliefs no doubt reflect the beliefs of the average Roman Catholic, I present her arguments here for the edification of the body of Christ.  Her remarks will be in bold type followed by my responses.

Here is the original email:

[Begin letter]

Dear [Name withheld]:

Thank you for writing.  First of all, let me commend you for the gentleness with which you articulated your viewpoint.  You are not the first Roman Catholic who has differed with me, but you are by far the most charitable.  I will, therefore, strive to mirror your example.

I’m grateful that you wrote me concerning the article Star of the Sea, and I’m not offended at all about what you had to say.  In fact, that you felt moved to write me means that the article struck a cord with you.  This could be a good thing, because all of my articles, including Star of the Sea, quote either the Bible, historical writings, and/or, ironically, Roman Catholic sources to the effect that the Virgin Mary is the goddess, Semiramis.  Therefore, to gainsay them is to actually doubt the truth, including what those in your own church say on the matter.

99% of what you wrote me about Mary, the mother of Jesus, and what the Roman Catholic church teaches about her, cannot be found in the Bible.  This, coupled with your devotion to the Virgin Mary and the fact that the Douay-Rheims version of the Holy Bible, which you quoted, being based on the corrupted Alexandrian texts, does not agree with the King James Version.  This leads me to believe that it would be futile to try to convince you that Mary worship is unbiblical by quoting Bible verses to that effect.

You strike me as a very articulate, intelligent, and thinking individual.  I will, therefore, attempt to appeal to that individual using the Douay-Rheims bible to prove that what the Roman Catholic church teaches about Mary, the mother of Jesus, is un-Biblical, and that this proves that the Virgin Mary and the Biblical Mary are not the same person.  They are two separate Marys.  For this reason, the Roman Catholic is compelled to go outside the Bible when attempting to justify Mary worship.

For the Christian, our beliefs are nothing unless the Bible can back them up.  Because so much of what you wrote me concerning your beliefs cannot be found in the Bible, I will not try to address all of your concerns.  Let us, therefore, limit our discussion to those points on which the Douay-Rheims and the King James agree.  Your points will be in boldface followed by my responses.  All scripture references, unless otherwise stated, are taken from the Douay-Rheims version of the Bible.

“There are so many things that are mistaken in your understanding of Mary.”

That is because we are actually talking about “Two Marys.”  My understanding of Mary, the mother of Jesus, comes from the Bible.  Your understanding of the Virgin Mary is a mixture of Roman Catholic tradition and the Bible: a hybrid.  So much of what Roman Catholicism teaches about the Virgin Mary is extra-biblical, that it should be clear to any thinking person that the Virgin Mary is not Mary, the mother of Jesus, but someone else.  It is for this reason that I, as you say, read about “ancient pagan deities.”  For the characteristics of the Roman Catholic Virgin Mary agree marvelously with the characteristics attributed to the goddess Semiramis, who was, and is, worshipped all over the world under various names.  One only need compare the attributes of these goddesses with those of the Roman Catholic Virgin Mary to bear this out.

The attribute that is the most obvious is that of virginity.  If the Virgin Mary is the Biblical Mary, the mother of Jesus, why does the Roman Catholic church continue to call her a virgin?  It doesn’t make sense.  The Bible only refers to Jesus’ mother Mary as a virgin in one passage of Scripture:

“And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.”

Luke 1:26-27

In no other place in the Bible is Mary called a virgin.  If, after giving birth to Jesus, Mary never gave birth to another child, then she technically would have remained a virgin for the rest of her life.  But the Bible clearly teaches that Mary had other children:

“Is not this the carpenter’s son?  Is not His mother called Mary, and His brethren James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Jude: And His sisters, are they not all with us?”

Matthew 13:55-56

If Mary had other children, then she did not remain a virgin.  Furthermore, if Mary was still a virgin, why did Luke not write, “Is not His mother called “The Virgin Mary?”  Is there any mother on planet earth who, after giving birth multiple times, as the Biblical Mary did, is still referred to as a virgin?  Of course not.  Why, then, does the Roman Catholic church continue to call Mary “The Virgin?”

I submit it is because the Virgin Mary is not the mother of Jesus, but Semiramis, the “Virgin Queen of Babylon” (Isaiah 47:1), who, like the Virgin Mary, was also called “The Lady” (Isaiah 47:5).

I wrote about this at length in several articles such as A Goddess By Any Other Name; The Star of Your God; and The Roman Catholic Church, Zionism, Stars, and Seashells.

You would do well to read them.

“[The Virgin Mary is] neither idol nor pagan goddess…”

I disagree.  An idol is essentially an object of worship.  The Roman Catholic Virgin Mary is a statue, which makes it an object, and this statue is worshipped, which makes it an idol.  Some Roman Catholics deny this, saying that the Virgin Mary is “adored” rather than worshipped.  But, in that prayer is a form of worship, and Roman Catholics pray to the Virgin Mary, then Roman Catholics worship the Virgin Mary.  The Bible says that anything that is worshipped other than God is an idol.  Mary is not God, yet Roman Catholics worship her.   The Virgin Mary is, therefore, an idol by definition and in practice, though you may not appreciate that distinction.

But let us say, for the sake of argument, that the Virgin Mary is really the mother of Jesus (which it is not).  Roman Catholics pray to Mary.  Prayer, besides being a form of worship, is the way humans speak to God.  God is alive, so it is okay to speak to Him.  Mary, the mother of Jesus, however, is dead.  Roman Catholics, therefore, in praying to Mary, are actually praying to a dead woman.  Communicating with the dead is a form of witchcraft called necromancy, and is forbidden by God (Deuteronomy 18:11).

So, whether the Virgin Mary is really the mother of Jesus or not, Mary worship is idolatry and witchcraft.  Roman Catholics, therefore, are guilty of idolatry and witchcraft.  They are truly between a rock and a hard place.

“[The Virgin Mary is] the Mother of God…”

If Mary, the mother of Jesus, were the “mother of God,” as you say, then she would, in fact, be God: as much as Jesus, being the Son of God, makes Him God.  That would mean that Mary was sinless.  Now, we know that Roman Catholicism holds to the very un-Biblical doctrine of the “Immaculate Conception”: the doctrine that Mary was born without original sin.  If this were true, however, then the Bible would be a lie, for the Bible teaches, “all have sinned” (Romans 3:23).  That includes Mary.  Only Jesus was born sinless.

But, for the sake of argument, let us say that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was the “Mother of God” (and, therefore, God) and sinless.  If this were true, then Mary should have been able to pay our sin debt.  Being mortal, she would have been able to shed her blood for our sins, in accordance with Hebrews 9:27, and she would have been able to die for us, in accordance with Romans 6:23.  And being God, she would have been able to rise from the dead, as the Lord Jesus did, thus having victory over death and guaranteeing the resurrection of all those who are in Christ.

In short, if Mary were born sinless and was God, then she had all of the qualifications to die on the cross for our sins and to rise again on the third day.  If this were true, then why was Mary only chosen to be the vessel for the Deliverer, our Lord Jesus?  Why was she not chosen to die and shed her blood for the sins of the world?  Why did Jesus have to suffer and die at all?  The answer is simple: because Mary was not sinless.

And if, according to the Bible, Mary, the mother of Jesus, was not sinless, then she cannot be the Virgin Mary, which the Roman Catholic church teaches was born without sin.

I could quote the book of Luke wherein we read that Mary, after giving birth to Jesus, went to Jerusalem to offer a sin sacrifice.  But you would likely dismiss it, since it is customary for Roman Catholics to defer to their tradition to justify the Virgin Mary’s “sinlessness.”  And they would have to, since this doctrine is not Biblical.

You should think about this very carefully, as you are saying that the Virgin Mary will redeem mankind.  This goes against the Bible, which teaches that Jesus Christ redeemed us with His own blood.  There is no need for Mary or anyone else to do anything.  Jesus “paid it all.”

“If you subscribe to the Protestant doctrine of Sola Scriptura “by scripture [sic] alone” there is plenty of evidence to show that Mary is an important figure in the Bible.”

This is true on many levels.  It is true that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was an important figure in the Bible, as she gave birth to our Savior.  It is also true that the Virgin Mary, the Babylonian goddess, is an important figure in the Bible.  As the Abomination of Desolation, she will order the execution of all who will not bow down and worship her (Revelation 13:15).  So yes, both Marys are important figures in the Bible.

“It would be well to stick to the Bible, also, rather than reading about ancient pagan “deities.”

No one would benefit more from “sticking” to that advice than the Roman Catholic church.  But if it did, the Roman Catholic religion would implode overnight.  You must understand that one must read about ancient pagan deities in order to understand The Virgin Mary, because what is attributed to the Virgin Mary cannot be found in Scripture, but can actually be found in ancient mythology and folklore.  That is because what is taught about the Virgin Mary can be attributed to pagan deities like Diana, Artemis, Venus, Aphrodite, and other goddesses.  In fact, they are all the same goddess: Semiramis.

“How many humans can say that they are “highly favored” by God?  Mary could.  In the King James Luke 1:30-31, the angel Gabriel, God’s messenger tells her so.  She also is pre-figured in Genesis as the woman who will correct the error of Eve 3:15.”

It is true that Mary is called “highly favored,” being chosen as the vessel to bring the Lord Jesus into the world.  It is not true, however, that Mary is “full of grace,” as the Roman Catholic church teaches, and that she may impart this grace onto anyone.  As a matter of fact, Mary received God’s grace herself in that she was a sinner and, yet, was still chosen to give birth to the Son of God.

Neither is it correct to say that Mary will “correct the error of Eve.”  I won’t debate Genesis 3:15 with you, because, as you point out, the Douay-Rheims translation differs from the King James.  Let us therefore hear what the Bible has to say regarding your claim that the sin was Eve’s and that Mary will correct that sin.

Let me begin by stating that nowhere does the Bible say that the first sin was Eve’s, though the Bible clearly states that Eve was deceived and not Adam (1 Timothy 2:14).  God blamed Adam for Eve’s transgression, because she was his wife, and he should not have let her be deceived.  But it is clear that the sin was Adam’s:

“To the woman also [God] said: I will multiply thy sorrows, and thy conceptions: in sorrow shalt thou bring forth children, and thou shalt be under thy husband’s power, and he shall have dominion over thee.

“And to Adam He said: Because thou hast hearkened to the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee, that thou shouldst not eat, cursed is the earth in thy work: with labour and toil shalt thou eat thereof all the days of thy life.”

Genesis 3:16-17

Notice that the earth was cursed for Adam’s sin, not for Eve’s.  This is because God had given Adam dominion over the earth before Eve was even created:

“And the Lord God having formed out of the ground all the beasts of the earth, and all the fowls of the air, brought them to Adam to see what he would call them: for whatsoever Adam called any living creature the same is its name.

And Adam called all the beasts by their names, and all the fowls of the air, and all the cattle of the field: but for Adam there was not found a helper like himself.”

Genesis 2:19-20

God brought all the animals to Adam, who then named them.  There is a very simple principle at work here: he, who names a thing, owns a thing.  Adam was the master of the earth and all that is in it, so, God gave Adam the right to name the animals.  Adam was responsible for the earth.  It was Adam’s actions, therefore, that would affect the earth, not Eve’s.  This is why God blamed Adam, and not Eve.

Sin is a curse (Galations 3:13).  So when the passage says that the earth is cursed, it is talking about original sin (Romans 5:12).  In that you state that Mary had to correct the sin, because Eve sinned, then you know something about God’s idea of justice: an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

Therefore, since the earth was cursed because of Adam, and Adam was a man, then his sin had to be corrected by a Man, in accordance with God’s idea of justice.

And the Bible backs this up.  Consider these passages from the Douay-Rheims:

“For if by the offence of one (Adam), many died: much more the grace of God and the gift, by the grace of one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

Romans 5:15

“For if by one man’s offence death reigned through one; much more they who receive abundance of grace and of the gift and of justice shall reign in life through one [Man], Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:18

“For as by the disobedience of one man, many were made sinners: so also by the obedience of one [Man], many shall be made just”  (Romans 5:15,18,19).

Romans 5:19

As you can see, the Bible clearly teaches that, because Adam sinned, his sin had to be corrected by a Man, not a woman.  And the Bible makes it clear that it was no ordinary man who paid for our sin, but the only Man who could: Jesus Christ.

So, the idea that the Virgin Mary must correct the sin of Eve, is, again, not Biblical.  It is, therefore, by definition, a heresy.

“Notice how many times in the Bible when Jesus addresses Mary, he [sic] calls her “Woman.” It is to highlight and correlate that she is the woman in Genesis, and the woman in Revelation.”

You go on to quote Revelation 12:1 “And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon was under her feet and upon her head a crown of twelve stars” (representing both the 12 tribes of Israel & the 12 apostles, your words).  If the woman in the passage is Mary, as you say, then why doesn’t the passage read, “And Mary appeared in heaven?”  Think about this.

I’m aware that the Roman Catholic church teaches that it is true Israel, and that it uses the six-pointed “Star of David” to signify this.  Besides being a heresy, because the Roman Catholic church was begun by the Roman Emperor Constantine, who was not Jewish (hence the term, Roman Catholicism), nowhere does the Bible use a six-pointed star to represent Israel.  The Bible uses several symbols for Israel, including animals.  But there are only three instances, to my knowledge, where the Bible speaks of stars in relation to Israel.  One instance, which you mentioned, is Revelation 12:1.  The others are Amos 5:26 and Acts 7:43, respectively.

With respect to Revelation 12:1, it is important to understand that the woman and the crown of stars are symbolic: you yourself admitted this, when you said that the twelve stars represent Israel and the Twelve Apostles.  That the passage begins with “And a great sign appeared in heaven” (Revelation 12:1), reinforces this.  A sign is an omen, a portent.  This is our cue that the passage is symbolic.  Again, you know this, as you say that the twelve stars are symbolic of Israel.

Now, we know that the child is Jesus.  But you say that the woman is Mary.  If that is true, then where does Scripture speak of a dragon standing before Mary waiting to devour the baby Jesus?  I can tell you that nowhere in Scripture can that be found.

As a matter of fact, if one continues to read the passage, it goes on to say:

“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan.”

Revelation 12:9

The woman, the crown of stars, and the dragon are symbols.

Inasmuch as the woman and the crown of stars are symbols, then the woman means nothing without the crown of stars, and the crown of stars means nothing without the woman.  In the Bible, a woman is symbolic of a religion.  The woman, therefore, with the crown of twelve stars, represents the twelve tribes of the God of Israel.

With respect to the second and third instances, where a star is mentioned in relation to Israel, it is important to understand that it is connection with idolatry:

“But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images (idols), the star of your god.”

Amos 5:26

“Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them.”

Acts 7:43

According to the Bible, the star is a symbol of a pagan deity.  Bear that in mind as we continue.

Now, the woman of Revelation 12 wears a crown of stars, not a single star.  The Roman Catholic church uses the six-pointed star, the so-called Star of David, to represent the Virgin Mary, having given birth to Jesus, who was of the House of David.

But consider something: If the Roman Catholic church uses the so-called Star of David because the woman of Revelation 12 is really the Roman Catholic church, then why does the Roman Catholic church also use the five-, seven-, and eight-pointed stars to symbolize Mary?  Are these also used to represent Israel?  If so, where can references to Israel and the five-, six-, seven-, or eight-pointed stars be found in the Bible?  I know that you cannot tell me, because the Bible doesn’t speak of any star that represents Israel.  The Bible does, however, mention the apostate Jews having worshipped a star to represent Chiun and Remphran: both names for a pagan deity.

If you say that the Roman Catholic church does not use the five-, six-, seven-, and eight-pointed stars to represent the Virgin Mary, then consider what Marielena Montesino de Stuart, a prominent Roman Catholic, former Florida senatorial candidate, and writer for Renew America, said in an article entitled, It’s all in the stars…Socialism and the Vatican: Why is the Vatican so concerned over a five-pointed yellow star?:

“Is the five-pointed star found in Mariology (Mary Worship)? Of course! The Assumption of Mary in Attard, Malta and the Miraculous Medal, as revealed by the Virgin Mary to Saint Catherine Labouré.”  [Parentheses mine.]

“Is the six-pointed star found in Mariology? Of course!  The image of the Pilgrim Virgin of Fatima was made according to indications by Sister Lúcia, and was a gift from the Bishop of Leiria – and solemnly crowned by the Archbishop of Évora, on May 13, 1947.”

“Is the seven-pointed star found in Mariology? Of course!  Basilica of Our Lady of Scherpenheuvel, Belgium.”

About the eight-pointed star, the Catholic Herald says this:

“The eight-pointed star has always symbolized Mary in Catholic church tradition.”

Again, I ask you: where does the Holy Bible mention the five-, six-, seven-, and eight-pointed stars being symbols for Mary or for Israel?  Answer: nowhere.  If it is not in the Bible, but is taught as doctrine, then it is, by definition, a heresy.

Again, the Virgin Mary is not the mother of Jesus, but an ancient goddess that was worshipped the world over under different names, including Mary.

“Mary is the favored one of God, deemed worthy to be a vessel for the Son of God, who said Yes and gave herself totally to the will of God, and reversed the No of Eve in order to bring salvation to humanity.”

The first part of this statement is very true: Mary was deemed worthy to be the vessel to bring the Son of God into this world.  The second part, however, is false.  Mary was not deemed worthy to bring salvation to humanity, because she could not.

To prove this, let us first define salvation.  According to the Bible, salvation is deliverance from:

  1. The power and effects of sin (Romans 5:12)
  2. This “present evil world” (Galations 1:4)
  3. The “curse of the law” (Galations 3:13)
  4. Bondage to sin (Galations 4:3, Romans 6:6)
  5. Death (Romans 6:23)
  6. Hell (Matthew 10:28)
  7. Judgment (Revelation 19:13)
  8. The “second death” (Revelation 19:14-15)

Because of Adam’s sin, we are all condemned to die (Romans 5:12).  We need, therefore, only concern ourselves with point 5: deliverance from death.  The only way to save, or redeem from death was through the shedding of blood (Hebrews 9:27) and death (Romans 6:23).  But not any man could redeem us, because the Bible says that all have sinned (Romans 3:23), and are condemned to die.  A normal man could not die for our sins, because, being a sinner, he would stay dead.  A dead man cannot offer anyone eternal life.

Only one man could shed his blood, die, and get back up.  That man was Jesus Christ.  Being sinless, He could shed his blood and die for us, paying our sin debt.  And being God, He could rise from the dead, thus having victory over death and ensuring our eternal life.  For if He could raise Himself, He can certainly raise us up.

Mary died and stayed dead.  She is waiting on the Resurrection just like all Christians are.  Jesus, however, after dying, got back up.  He, then, is the only One who could save us.

It was not the “No” of Eve that condemned us, but the “No” of Adam; for he “hearkened unto his wife.”  And, as we have already seen in Romans 5, it was not the “Yes” of Mary that brought salvation, but the “Yes” of Jesus.  How?  Because Jesus obeyed the Father:

“[Jesus] humbled himself, becoming obedient unto death, even to the death of the cross.”

Philippians 2:8

So, though it is true that Mary was worthy enough to give birth to our Savior, she was not worthy enough to redeem mankind.

Further proof of this is Revelation Chapter 5, wherein we read that the Apostle John, in his vision, saw God the Father sitting on His throne, holding a book sealed with seven seals:

“And I saw, in the right hand of him that sat on the throne, a book, written within and without, sealed with seven seals.

“And I saw a strong angel, proclaiming with a loud voice: Who is worthy to open the book and to loose the seals thereof?

“And no man was able, neither in heaven nor on earth nor under the earth, to open the book, nor to look on it.

“And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open the book, nor to see it.

“And one of the ancients said to me: Weep not: behold the lion of the tribe of Juda, the root of David, hath prevailed to open the book and to loose the seven seals thereof.

“And I saw: and behold in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures and in the midst of the ancients, a Lamb standing, as it were slain, having seven horns and seven eyes: which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth.

“And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat on the throne.”

Revelation 5:1-7

We all know that Jesus is the Lamb of God and the Root of David.  Now, if Mary, as you say, brought salvation to humanity, why was she not found worthy to take the book from the hand of God?  Why was only Jesus worthy enough?

I can show you better than I can tell you.  From the Douay-Rheims:

“And they sung a new canticle, saying: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to take the book and to open the seals thereof: because thou wast slain and hast redeemed us to God, in thy blood, out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation:

“And hast made us to our God a kingdom and priests, and we shall reign on the earth.

“And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the living creatures and the ancients (and the number of them was thousands of thousands),

“Saying with a loud voice: The Lamb that was slain is worthy to receive power and divinity and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and benediction.”

Revelation 5:9-12

Now if the Virgin Mary, or any Mary, for that matter, were worthy of the accolades that the Roman Catholic church bestows upon the Virgin Mary, why does the Bible not bestow these honors upon it/her?  Because Mary was not nailed to a cross: Jesus was.  Because Mary did not shed her blood: Jesus did.  Because Mary was not slain:  Jesus was.  And because Mary did not rise on the third day: Jesus did.

You made a great many other un-Biblical claims.  But it would not be edifying to address them.  Let us, therefore, examine your claim regarding my family life:

“This may be hard to hear, friend, but if your zeal for your vision of faith is putting enmity between you and your wife, and bringing sadness to your children, then it cannot be of God.  For all that is of God, brings peace, wholeness, harmony and love.”

Again, though I believe you mean these words in all sincerity, you are woefully misinformed about the nature of the Christian life.  There are just too many verses in the Bible to prove that faithfulness to Jesus and the Word of God brings nothing, if not enmity—even between a husband and wife.

Jobs trials were of God, and it cost him his health, his prosperity, his children, his birth family, his friends, and his relationship with his wife.  For Job’s wife told him:

“Curse God, and die.”

Job 2:9 (KJV)

Not a very nice thing for a wife to say to her husband.

The Douay-Rheims renders the passage, “Bless God, and die,” but the sentiment is nevertheless the same.  Job’s wife wanted him to die.  Now, to my knowledge, Job’s wife was not a Roman Catholic.  Yet his faithfulness to God was a problem for her, for she prefaced this imperative by saying, “Doth thou still retain thine integrity?” (KJV).  Job’s wife thought that as a result of God’s actions, Job should have renounced Him, just as the Devil said he would.  But Job wasn’t having any of it.

Faithfulness to God is enmity with the world.

You say that God brings peace.  What I think you meant to say is that God only brings peace.  This, of course, is not true: for Jesus Himself said:

“Do not think that I came to send peace upon earth: I came not to send peace, but the sword.” For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s enemies shall be they of his own household.”

Matthew 10:34-36

Was Jesus a warmonger?  I think not.  What He was saying was that if a man would be faithful to the Gospel of Jesus, though he will have peace inwardly, he will have war outwardly—maybe (READ especially) in his own family.  Not everyone wants to the do the will of God.

Don’t think for one minute that I regret what has happened to my family because of my faithfulness to Jesus.  As unpleasant as it has been, I rejoice that it has happened—and is happening—because it has proved to me that the Word of God is true.  My trials have resulted in most of the material you will find on this site, which have brought some to a saving knowledge of Jesus, led others into a greater knowledge of God’s will for His people, given still others victory over sin, and a great many more deliverance from bondage.  What a blessing!

Many people talk about their faith, but believe me when I say I put Jesus to the test—I had to in order to pass through what I have and come out SANE, not to mention with my faith intact.  And Jesus passed with flying colors.  Only when you have passed through the fire can you really know the keeping power of Jesus.  Only then can you claim to really know Him, which is why Paul said that to know Jesus is “to know the fellowship of His sufferings.”

A warm and fuzzy is good for some things.  But only hardship and tribulation bring you closer to Jesus.  While the extent of most people’s Christian experience is singing hymns, church picnics, Gospel concerts, and saying “Have a blessed day,” my family is involved in daily spiritual warfare.  And believe it or not, we are stronger than ever for it.

As for my children being sad, their sadness comes only when they are at school being persecuted by their Roman Catholic and Muslim classmates.  This is done in a very slick way, out of sight of the casual observer, but it is done.  Outside the classroom and at home, they are some of the happiest, most polite, most well adjusted children you will ever meet.  The Bible says in 2 Timothy 3:3 that in the last days, people would be “despisers of those that are good” (KJV).  That can’t be truer than it is today.

The difficulties my wife and I have experienced are the result of truth being yoked to error.  In that my wife is Roman Catholic, according to the Bible, we are “enemies for the gospel’s sake.”  I love her in spite of this enmity, however, and I believe this is the way God wants all Christians to love Roman Catholics.  They too, are souls for whom Christ Jesus died.  You have to love a Roman Catholic to tell him the truth.  Her religion notwithstanding, God has sanctified my wife for our children’s sakes (1 Corinthians 7:14).  So there is always a chance that she will one day come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  That is the day I pray for.

“With love and peace in Christ, and all prayers for your salvation and that of your whole family, because no one gets to Heaven without a battle.”

I trust you mean well, when you say you will pray for my salvation.  But you have absolutely no idea how terribly deceived you are.  You are praying for my salvation, yet your own soul is in jeopardy!

You worship an idol contrary to Scripture.  You adore (worship) a piece of bread (the Eucharist) as Jesus, contrary to Scripture.  You call a mere man, the Roman Catholic pope, “Holy Father”: a name reserved exclusively for God the Father (John 17:11).  What blasphemy!  You believe in a mythical Purgatory, where you believe you must go to have your sins purged or burned off, contrary to Scripture, and, in so doing, you spit on the Sacrifice of our Lord Jesus.  For when He hung on the cross, Jesus said, “It is finished.”

Wasn’t Jesus’ blood good enough?  Wasn’t His suffering good enough?  Wasn’t His death good enough?  What, then, could you, the Virgin Mary, or anyone else possibly add to this?  Can’t you see how deceived you are, how you’ve been lied to?

You rightfully say that Satan is the father of lies.  But you are marvelously blind to the fact that his greatest deception is the Roman Catholic church, to which you have given your blind trust, and which, in return for your loyalty, has condemned your soul to the Lake of Fire burning with fire and brimstone.

Instead of hearing the Lord Jesus say, “Well done!” you are in danger of hearing Him say, “Depart from me, ye wicked, into everlasting fire!”

No, my dear child, I will pray for your salvation.

Tony

[End letter]

As you can see, this dear soul’s mind has been corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.  And she truly believes she is a Christian and is praying for my salvation!  Now can you see why I do what I do?  Saints, we must reach the Roman Catholics, while there’s still time.  There are precious few hours of daylight left.

Please, Just Say, Thank you.

The Gospel Light And Truth Crusade

Grace and peace, believers.

This has not been a good week for me spiritually.  I allowed Satan to beguile me into succumbing to anger, and the result was that I spoke and behaved in a way that was very unbecoming a Christian soldier.

Most of our readers know that I have been fighting a monumental battle with the forces of darkness.  My family and I endure attacks by the enemy that few—other than those who are on the front lines in this spiritual warfare—experience.  Now, I am not so naïve as to think that my case is much different than what most of us in the body of Christ experience.  In point of fact, I have heard much worse.  But, it is merely a matter of fact that you cannot reveal the machinations of Satan in the way we do here and not have him come against you with both barrels blazing.  That’s just the plain truth.

A favorite weapon Satan uses against me is my own wife.  As many of you may know, my wife is not saved.  Though she considers herself a Christian and attends church regularly, she was born and raised a Roman Catholic, and she has never renounced the Roman Catholic faith.  So, for all intents and purposes, my wife is still a Roman Catholic.

Believe me when I tell you that Biblical Christianity; that is, Protestantism, and Roman Catholicism do not get along at all.  Biblically speaking, my wife and I are unequally yoked; and the results have sometimes been catastrophic for me and my family.  Roman Catholicism is a dark spiritual force that can wreak havoc on a person’s spiritual well-being and that of his loved ones as well.

My family’s spiritual battles have been fought on many fronts: at home and in the streets, in the U.S. and in Europe, in and out of court, privately and publicly, in and out of the media.  It has been a monumental struggle; and there appears to be no relief in sight.  This struggle has certainly taken its toll on everyone in my family.

But I am dealing with it, and have been dealing with it for over fifteen years.  But the last five years have been the most difficult.  As many of you may know, my wife and I only reconciled a year ago, after being separated for four years.  What you may not know is the circumstances of our separation.  I am sharing this with you in the hopes that it will minister to someone out there who may be going through the same thing.

Back in 2008, after long deliberation, I decided to leave my wife.  More details can be found in my article entitled Unequally Yoked.  I was afraid of what might happen to my children if I left, but I reasoned that since the children were with their mother, there was nothing to fear.  So, on the day I was scheduled to fly to the United States (we were living in Germany at the time), I departed for the airport.  But once I arrived, circumstances conspired to keep me from leaving.  Literally everything went wrong.  In the end, I was unable to leave.

This weighed heavily upon me.  I reasoned that perhaps God did not want me to leave after all.  So, I went back home.  However, things only got worse.  I realized I still had to leave.  As I pondered this, I began to wonder if God wanted me to leave, but not alone.  I wondered if He wanted me to take my children with me.  But I knew that would never happen, because every time I brought up the issue of going Stateside, my wife was reluctant to go.  But the more I thought about it, the more it began to make sense.

My children at this time were nine, seven, and five years old, and they had never been to the United States.  Many times, while putting them to bed, they would ask me what America was like, and I would describe it to them.  I was saddened by the fact that my children were Americans, but knew nothing about America.  I was even more saddened by the very real possibility that, if I were to leave, they might never know anything about it.  I resigned myself, therefore, to remain in Germany.  But the thought of leaving never left me.

One weekend, my wife went to England to visit a friend.  I decided that while she was gone, the kids and I would spend the weekend at a military base we would visit about two or three times a year to shop and to be around other Americans.  This was as close as we would get to actually being in America.  Somewhere between home and the military base, however, I made the decision that we would fly to America.  And that is exactly what we did.

To make a long story short, we were there for a year and a half.  And it was the best year and a half my children and I have ever had.  Of course, this did not set well with my wife.  She was distraught.  And how could I blame her?  I had betrayed a trust, and taken her only children from her.  I was not proud of that fact.  But I just had to get my children into an environment where I could raise them properly without the negative influences of my wife and Roman Catholicism.  I will not go into what those influences were, because there is no way to do that without casting my wife into an unfavorable light.  In fact, in telling this story, the only one who will look bad is me.  But truth is truth; and sometimes it is not pleasant—even for the truth teller.

To continue: though my wife was initially upset, she eventually found some peace with the situation and, without the distractions of a family, she was able to go back to school, save up some money, travel, and do all the things that she always wanted to do.  Meanwhile, the children and I did all the things that we had always dreamed of doing together.  We went to the park, fished, played, ate at Burger King, Golden Corral, White Castles, ate Chinese food, went to Chuck E. Cheese, raced around Sam’s, etc., etc., and etc.  We had a great time together.

At home, I didn’t have a television set, so we did not have the worldly distractions that television brings.  Back in Germany, the television set was one of my greatest challenges, as my wife watches it a lot, and my children watched it way too much.  Without this distraction, my children were forced to be creative in their play.  They drew, wrote stories (my youngest daughter wrote a number of comic Gospel tracts), put on plays, and read.  We read the Bible almost every single day, and I told them Bible stories at night.  This became very important, because it eventually led to their salvation.

Eventually, however, my wife decided she wanted the children back in Germany.  So she took me to court and won the right to do so.  During the court proceedings, however, something happened that made me understand that my taking the children in the manner I did was probably the best thing I had ever done in my life.

A “child specialist” was brought in, who was supposed to interview my children to determine if they were competent enough to take the stand, if necessary.  I didn’t know why this was necessary, because I had already indicated that I would not compel my children to take part in the proceedings in any way.  Well, the specialist talked to the children (without my being present) and, shortly thereafter, came out and told the judge that he had interviewed the children and that they were intelligent and capable to stand trial, if necessary.  The judge then asked my wife and I if we wanted them to do so, and we both said no.  About an hour later, the trial was over, and a few days later, I was to learn that the judge ordered the children returned to Germany.

That evening after the trial, my children and I were at dinner, and they were telling me about all the sweets and soda they were given while they were waiting for the trial to conclude.  During our discussion, my youngest daughter told me that the “child specialist” asked them some very strange questions.  I asked her what kind of questions the man asked her, and she told me that he asked them if they were Christians.  When they responded that they were, the man then asked them if Roman Catholics were Christians.   They told him that Roman Catholics were not Christians, to which the man replied that Catholics are Christians also, but they just worship differently than Protestants.  He then asked them why they felt that Roman Catholicism was not Christianity, and my daughter replied, “because Roman Catholics worship an idol named Mary, and the Bible says not to worship idols.”  The man then told my children that Protestants worship Mary too, but they do it “in secret,” or words to that effect.

A chill ran down my spine at those words.  At that moment, I realized why there was such a concerted effort to return my children to Germany and why my lawyer only weakly defended me at the trial.  I also realized why I had felt so strongly that God wanted me to take my children to the States, even though I knew it was wrong.  Satan had hoped I would leave the children in Germany with their mother, so that he could turn them into Roman Catholics.  He wanted to send them to Hell.  I believe he wanted to do this out of revenge, because I had been evangelizing Roman Catholics for two years, before I took the children to the States.  Someone might have even gotten saved—or, at least a seed had been planted—and he did not like that one bit.  Satan was out for revenge.

Well, God had other plans.

In August 2009, my wife took my children back to Germany.  And I fell into a black hole of grief from which I did not emerge for about a year.  I’m not asking for sympathy, mind you, because my wife fell into a similar hole: I’m only relating my feelings.  For the next two and a half years I had to deal with the profound sadness my children felt at being forced to live somewhere they didn’t want to be.  It hit my boy especially hard.  He ended up going into a depression and he gained about twenty pounds.  His self-esteem was decimated, and my wife sent him to therapist after therapist.  Once, he was even beat up in the boy’s bathroom at school and ended up with stitches in his head.  You can read more about that here.

Back in the U.S., I tried my best to put one foot in front of the other.  I got deeper into the Word of God, and my prayer life improved in leaps and bounds.  In February 2011, I launched this blog, and in the Spring of 2012, I started a podcast ministry entitled, “These Last Days.”  God opened my understanding of the Scriptures, especially end time events, and I wrote the articles on Generational Curses and Bipolar Disorder that have shown many how to be set free.  I also wrote the articles on the Antichrist and the Mark of the Beast, Steve Harvey, and a host of others that have garnered thousands of hits.  God had shown me my purpose in life.

But back in Germany, my children were miserable.  My son’s depression worsened, while my daughters grew rebellious and unmanageable.  It was sometimes unbearable for me to talk to them and hear the profound sadness in their voices.  They would always ask me when I was coming to see them, and I would always tell them I would see them again one day, but that I didn’t know when that day would be.  Then, one day in March 2012, my son dropped the bomb.  He told me that I had to come and see him right away, because he couldn’t take it anymore.  So I dropped everything, and two days later I was in Germany.

There is no way to describe the scene I was greeted with without casting dispersion upon my wife.  But suffice it to say that I felt instantly justified in having taken them four years earlier.  Anger and disappointment built up in me the likes of which I have never before felt, but I dealt with it.  I told myself that I had to give it to God and I really thought that I had.  But this week, I realized that I hadn’t given it to Jesus at all.  I had merely suppressed it, stomped it down, tamped it into a neat little package and sat on it.  But this week, having withstood three solid weeks of misbehavior, and having been reminded that I have been dealing with this for fifteen years, I stood up, and the anger and hurt popped back into form none worse for wear.

Saints, I can’t remember the last time I have been that angry.  Actually, I can.  And that was the time I ended up giving my wife a black eye.  Don’t worry.  You can’t be any angrier with me than I was at myself.  Saints, anger is not good.

I can’t remember the last time I have said the things to my wife—or to any woman, for that matter—that I said last night.  My only saving grace is that I didn’t call my wife out of her name, using the expletives that are most often reserved for these occasions.  It is only because of this that humility hasn’t prevented me from writing this, because, believe me, Saints, there was little else that I failed to say.  It is only because of this that when the devil whispered in my ear that I hadn’t really changed from that vile person I was before I got saved, that I was able to respond, “Satan you a liar!”

But the damage was done: I had gone too far.  And again, as was the case before I left five years earlier, the whole neighborhood had heard me do it.

Hurt and embarrassed, I left the house and took a walk.  An hour later I was back, and I went straight to bed were I remained for the next fifteen hours.  During that time, I dreamed dreams of clarity.  I realized that I hadn’t given anything over to Jesus.  I hadn’t given Him the hurt.  I hadn’t given Him the pain.  I hadn’t given Him the disappointment.  And I hadn’t given Him the anger.  I had kept it all.  I also realized that all my life I had hungered for love, affection, and genuine appreciation and gratitude and had never gotten it.  I realized that all I ever wanted was for my wife to genuinely appreciate me as a man, as a husband, and as a father.  I realized that I just wanted my wife to appreciate that from the time we first started out, I had always had her back, and that she never had to worry about anything.  I just wanted her to be grateful that I was there.

I had no idea that this need was so strong in me, until I found myself screaming, “Say ‘Thank you!’ Just say, ‘Thank you!’”   Later, while I walked around in the chill of the early morning hours, I realized the incredible power that ingratitude, real or imagined, can have over someone who needs to feel appreciated.  It can be devastating.  I also understood that I was once guilty of the same crime thirty years earlier.  There was once someone in my life: someone deserving of my gratitude, my affection, and my love, and I didn’t give it.  That person had loved me, cared for me, cherished me, and valued me, and I didn’t reciprocate.  And I could have.  I should have.  But I didn’t.  What comes around goes around.

E.P.A., if you are reading this, I’m so sorry I was so ungrateful.  I’m so sorry I lacked understanding, compassion, love, and genuine affection.  I now realize how important it is for a person to feel needed, and you always said that you just wanted to feel needed.  I understand that a person needs to feel valued and important.  And I’m sorry.

Saints, I am no saint; that’s for sure.  But I thank God for the blood.  And I bless the name of Jesus, the God of Second Chances.

This time, I’m giving it to Jesus.  It does no good to need to be appreciated by someone, if the person is dead set against showing appreciation.  It’s useless to need to be needed by someone if the person doesn’t want to show you that you are needed.  It’s counterproductive to need to feel loved by someone who doesn’t want to show you love.  In fact, it can be downright destructive, especially if you are involved in daily spiritual warfare.

What then, do we do, when we need to feel loved, appreciated, needed, valued, and important to our significant other, yet the significant other is unwilling or unable to convey that sentiment?

We have to let it go; that’s what we have to do.  We have to give it to Jesus.  Now, I know that is easier said than done.  I know it.  But we have to do it.  We can’t go around holding onto the feelings of inadequacy, of loneliness, of being unwanted, of being unappreciated.   If we suppress them, they will only come back up one day, at a time when we least expect them to, at a time when we can least afford for them to.  This is not good.

I know it can be done.  I did it with other things, and the feelings attached to those things were every bit as real as these.  I understand now that I just chose to hold on to these feelings, trying to justify them.  They may be justified, but that doesn’t make them good—or healthy.  We have to give them over to Jesus.  We have to let them go.

We may never hear what we want to hear.  And we are going to have to be alright with that.  We should take comfort in these words:

“I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5).

Please pray for me, and I’ll pray for you.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

Deceitful Workers: Eddie Murphy

The Gospel Light And Truth Crusade

Grace and peace, Saints.

A few weeks ago after a long session at the typewriter (OK, computer), I went into the living room, where my wife was watching Eddie Murphy, One Night Only, a tribute to Eddie Murphy, on television.  I decided to take a break and watch some of it with her.  Apparently, it was made a couple of years ago, but I had never heard anything about it.  Not surprising, given I rarely watch entertainment television.

As it turns out, there were only about twenty minutes left before the program ended.  At the conclusion, Eddie Murphy himself takes the stage and talks to the audience for about a minute or so.  I was amazed as, in quick succession, he flashed occult hand signs to signal to “those who know” that he is down with Antichrist.  Of course, I had to preserve it for posterity.

Both of these hand signs are used by the Cult of Mary, and demonstrate that Murphy is an initiate into the Mystery Religion of ancient Babylon, more commonly known as the Roman Catholic Church.

I must admit that I was somewhat surprised by this, but I don’t know why.  Eddie Murphy helped move along the occult agenda to make it OK to use profanity on television.  For example, according to Wiki, in his first stand up television special, Delirious (1983), Murphy used the swear words f-u-c-(last letter omitted) and s-h-i-(last letter omitted) 230 and 171 times, respectively.  In Raw (1987), he used the word f-u-c-(last letter omitted) 226 times.

Murphy also brought dressing in drag to a generation of youth with his characters “Mama Klump” and “Grandmama Klump” in The Nutty Professor (1996) and The Nutty Professor II: The Klumps (2000).

Comedians Chris Rock, Tyler Perry, Martin Lawrence, and Arsenio Hall all spoke at the tribute to Murphy, and praised him as a ground-breaker who paved the way for other black comedians.  It should come as no surprise that all have also appeared in drag on television and in movies.  Comedian, actor, and director, Keenen Ivory Wayans, who also spoke at the tribute, to my knowledge has never appeared in drag.  However, Wayans was the director and host of the comedy variety show In Living Color (1991-1994), on which comedian Jamie Foxx dressed in drag playing the character of Wanda Wayne, the “ugliest woman in the world.”  Wayans also directed White Chicks (2004), a movie featuring his younger brothers, Marlon and Shaun, playing white female police officers.

Think about this.  We know that the moral destruction of America is deliberate and was planned well in advance.  We also know that Hollywood plays a big part in it.  Mystery Babylon, which is responsible for this, could have used any comedian.  Why, then, did they use Eddie Murphy, a black comedian?  Is it merely a coincidence that the first person to use the “N” word on television was also a black comedian (Chris Rock, Bring the Pain, 1996, HBO)?

Folks, blacks in America are being set up big time.  And they have no idea that it is happening.  Watch and wait for it.  Soon, it will be publicly declared that blacks in America are depraved and through comedy, movies, and rap music, are destroying America’s morals.  When the “final solution” is proposed, the same solution that Hitler proposed to the “Jewish question” in Nazi Germany, no one will be averse to it.  In fact, the overwhelming majority of Americans will welcome it.  At least those who will be polled.

In The Roman Catholic Takeover of America, we outline the Roman Catholic church’s three phase plan to subdue America for the Virgin Mary.  We are currently in phase three: “a holy warfare.”  The deliberate sabotage of Biblical morality and the subsequent restoration of “Christian” (READ Roman Catholic) values in America is part of this warfare.  When Roman Catholics talk about “renewing America,” and restoring “Christian” values and morality in America, they are dead serious.  But they don’t mean what you think they mean.  If you doubt that Rome is sponsoring Murphy–and all of these sellout comedians–you had better think again.

This is why, for the moment, blacks have been given center stage in the media.  This is why the media constantly covers the sordid and immoral lifestyles of black celebrities.  This is why rapper 50 Cent was on the David Letterman show years ago bragging about how he had to train the producers in his first movie how to make crack cocaine.  This is why bad-boy rapper Kanye West, in a completely staged event, snatched the microphone from tender-eyed Taylor Swift at the MTV Music Awards.  This is why just this week the media have been abuzz about NBA center Jason Collins, who is black, coming out as gay.  He is actually not the first athlete to come out, which is why he is being billed as the “first active player in a major team sport” to come out as being gay.  But you just watch as that distinction disappears before our very eyes.

These deceived blacks are being encouraged to misbehave and allowed to appear on prime time in all their depravity.  They are being given just enough rope to hang themselves.  Blacks are walking around with a target on their backs; and Eddie Murphy, Martin Lawrence, Chris Rock, Arsenio Hall, Tyler Perry, Chris Tucker, Ving Rhames, Wesley Snipes, Denzel Washington, and Beyonce (oh, yes, America’s songbird) and others of that ilk are largely to blame.

And this is not just happening in the United States.  Until the Sandy Hook tragedy, CNN International was devoting much coverage to racism in European soccer and the racial struggles of black Italian striker Mario Balotelli and others.  On the one hand, they are depicted as being victims of racial abuse, while, on the other hand, they are making millions of dollars–on and off the pitch–in a sport they claim is racist.  The irony is lost on no one, and the disparity is intentional.  This is global.

God willing, I will talk more about this later.  For now, suffice it to say that Eddie Murphy is part of the plan to destroy American morality and demonize blacks.  And he did a great job, as evidenced by the grand tribute they gave him.

If you don’t believe me, find Eddie Murphy: One Night Only on the internet.  Watch in horror as Chris Rock and Arsenio Hall use the “N” word ad infinitum, ad nauseum.  Cringe as Arsenio Hall makes comments about him and white women that will make you blush.  And feel your chin hit the floor as you see footage of Eddie Murphy on HBO and on Saturday Night Live and Arsenio Hall in drag in Coming To America and realize how ridiculous and depraved blacks were made to look on national television and before the world.

You’ll see what I mean.

Folks, these people are not at all what they appear to be.  Believe that.

When Is It Porno?

The Gospel Light And Truth Crusade

Grace and peace, Saints.

Today I was cleaning out my children’s rooms and going through their papers to decide what to keep and what to throw away, when I came across something disgusting.  There was a piece of paper with my middle daughter’s name on it under it.  Under the heading, “Veraenderung in der Pubertaet” or “Changes in Puberty,” was a diagram of a fully nude man and woman.

Below is the PG version of the diagram:

Click here for the “rest of the story.”

Now I ask you: isn’t that pornography?  You better believe it is!  And my daughter was around eleven or twelve when she saw this.  Can there be any question why pornography is such a huge problem?

I didn’t know they were putting this type of thing in school textbooks.  But I should have known.  Back in 2007, my youngest daughter checked out a book from the library.  As usual, I went through the book before allowing her to read it.  Do you know what was in it?  The same type of pictures as above.

But this book didn’t just stop there.  It actually suggested that little boys and girls get to know their bodies by touching themselves and handling their genitals.  It showed a picture of a little girl in the shower, and said that children should not be afraid of finding out what makes them feel good.  I had written down the name of the book and scanned the cover and relevant pages, but I have since misplaced them.

Now, I’m in Germany.  And most people know that Europeans pride themselves on being sexually liberated and uninhibited.  So, this sort of thing is par for the course.  But, is this going on in American schools?  If it is, you had better know about it.  This is sex education.  They are teaching our children things way before they are able to handle them.  And they are not doing it in a biblical context.  This is spiritual arsenic.

By the way, if your son or daughter is into comic books (called “graphic novels” now), you might want to take a look at one of his or her comics every now and again.  About five years ago I worked at a public library in St. Louis. One of my colleagues, who appeared to be in his late 20’s or early 30’s, was really into comic books.  I asked him if I could check one of his out, and was amazed at the incredibly revealing costumes the female super heroes were wearing.  Besides that, two of the male super heroes were discussing the fact that one of them had a homosexual affair with one of his fellow super heroes!

This is why, as parents, we need to constantly pray for our children, interceding for them and praying that God will shield their hearts and minds from the influence of ungodly teachers and textbooks.  They are destroying our children’s innocence.

May their end be in accordance with their works.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

The Virgin Mary: The “Star of the Sea”

The Gospel Light And Truth Crusade

Grace and peace, Saints.

I know I said that I was taking a break from blogging, but I stumbled upon something that was so significant under the circumstances, that I had to tell you about it.

As you may recall, we wrote two articles recently that discuss how various symbols used by the Roman Catholic church and zionist Jews prove that the idol which Roman Catholics worship as the Virgin Mary is actually the same idol whom the apostate Jews worshipped.  Both idols, in fact, represent the same person: Semiramis, the wife of Nimrod and the first queen of ancient Babylon.

In The Roman Catholic church, Zionism, Stars, and Seashells, we explain that the seashell is a symbol that the Roman Catholic church uses to symbolize Mary in her role as the goddess of the sea.  We go on to explain that the World Zionist Organization uses a logo that features the six-pointed star within which is a menorah, fashioned in the shape of a seashell.  Our contention in that article is that the zionist Jews and Roman Catholics worship the same goddess that the apostate Jews in the Bible worshipped.

In The Star of Your God, we explain that the Roman Catholic church uses the eight-pointed star to represent the idol known as the Virgin Mary.  We further explain that, in that the apostate Jews worshipped a star that symbolized their goddess, and nowhere in the Bible is David said to have used a star to represent his lineage, then the six-pointed star, the so-called Star of David, also represents the goddess whom the apostate Jews worshipped.  We surmise, therefore, that the eight- and six-pointed stars are symbols for the idol Mary, who is, in reality, Queen Semiramis.  Ultimately all stars may be symbols for the goddess.

Well, imagine my surprise when I came across an article entitled, Just Like the Star of David, the Star of Mary is a Six-Pointed Hexagram? In the article, the author says this:

“One of most little known facts when it comes to actual Christianity, as it was practiced for centuries, happens to be that, just like the Star of David in Judaism, the Star of Mary in Christianity is also symbolized by a Hexagram. [I]t is a historical fact that, from the very beginning, a fairly prominent symbol of the [Roman Catholic] Church, known as the Star of Mary or the Star of the Sea, has been represented by a hexagram.”

Following this statement was the following image of the Virgin Mary with a six-pointed star behind her:

And, as if this wasn’t remarkable enough, the author provides the following quotes from various sources proving that the six-pointed star is indeed a symbol for the Virgin Mary:

“[T]he Six-Pointed [Star], which is in fact the star of David, is used to highlight Mary’s role in salvation as helper…It symbolizes the restitution of the original harmony between God and humanity.”  [Boldface in the original, brackets mine.]

“What is the origin of Mary’s title: ‘Star of the Sea’?,” Campus.Udayton.edu

“Another classic title for the Virgin Mary is Stella Maris, or Star of the Sea…A Six-Pointed star is a reminder that Mary is from the line of David (as the Star of David has six points).”

“Star of the Sea,” by Jenny Schroedel and Reverend John Schroedel, Netplaces.com

“The feast of the Holy Name of Mary…originated in Spain and was approved by the Holy See in 1513; Innocent XI extended its observance to the whole Church in 1683…Symbols: Star of David, or Six-Pointed Star appropriate for this feast.”

Memorial of the Most Holy Name of the Blessed Virgin Mary, CatholicCulture.org

“Another example if a religious star tattoo is the Jewish Star of David…Roman Catholics regard the Six-Pointed Star as a representation of celestial bodies relating to the Blessed Virgin Mary.”

Star Tattoos, Tattoo-Art.com

“Mary is the Divine Mother archetype…Her signs and symbols are the Rose and Chalice, the Six Pointed Star and the element of water.”

The Virgin Mother Mary, GoddessWithin.co.uk

The last quote is very significant in proving that Mary is just another name for the goddess Semiramis.  Notice that, according to this author, Mary is the “Divine Mother.”  That would make her Demeter, who was also called the “divine mother.”  Moreover, it is said that Mary is symbolized by water.  The Latin for “sea” is mari or mare, and another name for the goddess of the sea was Venus, who, like the Roman Catholic Mary, was a virgin.

If you’re still not convinced, take a look at the following images:

I believe it is safe to say that the six-pointed star is a symbol for Mary.  Jesus was right: “Seek ye the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

There are Roman Catholics who know full well that Mary is the goddess Semiramis, and are quite happy with that.  I know, because I’ve visited the website of one of those people.  If there is one, then there is likely another, and so on.  But there are probably a great deal more Roman Catholics who falsely believe that the Virgin Mary is actually the mother of Jesus, and that, in praying to Mary, they are pleasing Him.

If you are one of those people, you must understand that Jesus is not pleased at all.  Mary worship is idolatry, for Mary is an idol.  The Bible condemns idolatry:

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image…Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God.”

Exodus 20:4-5

All idolaters will find their place in the Lake of Fire burning with fire and brimstone:

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake of fire which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Revelation 21:8

Thus saith the Lord.

Click here for more evidence that the Roman Catholic Virgin Mary is the same goddess whom the apostate Jews in the Bible worshipped with a star.  The Virgin Mary is really Semiramis, the Virgin Queen of Babylon, who was worshipped under many names including Melitta or Melissa (the Queen Bee), and Myrianimus: the goddess of many names.

If you really want to please God, you need to repent of your idolatrous Mary worship, while there is still time, and seek the face of the true Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.  If you are ready to do this, click here.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

Taking A Break

The Gospel Light And Truth Crusade

Grace and peace, Saints.

For the last month or so, we worked really hard to get the information on the Roman Catholic church out to the body of Christ, for it is our firm belief that the Roman Catholic church is Mystery Babylon of the Bible, and is now making a bid for the world.

In our series of articles and broadcasts entitled, “The Roman Catholic Takeover of America,” we told you about Our Lady of America, the Roman Catholic plan to install the Virgin Mary in the National Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC.  We also explained how Our Lady of America is integral to the Roman Catholic plan to take over the United States for the Virgin Mary and destroy all vestiges of Protestant Christianity in America and the world.

We told you about the book, Ravening Wolves, written by Monica Farrell, which outlines the blueprint for the Roman Catholic takeover of a nation, beginning with the dedication of that nation to the Virgin Mary and culminating with the total disarmament and subsequent subjugation of the people of that nation.  We explained how this plan is being implemented in the United States today and is moving along at a fever pitch.

Critical to the plan is a governmental decree that only Roman Catholics can serve in government, and we pointed out that this is why the 113th Congress has the largest number of Hispanics in history.  This is also the impetus behind the push for immigration reform (of which Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, a Hispanic and Roman Catholic, is a major advocate).

Also crucial to the plan is the total disarmament of the American people, and this was the reason behind Sandy Hook and the knee-jerk appeals for more gun control.  It is no wonder, then, that this week saw key immigration reform legislation and the most sweeping gun control legislation in twenty years.  Something big is about to happen.

Simultaneously, almost halfway around the world in Rome, Roman Catholics were stunned as a pope suddenly announces his resignation.  A short time later, a new pope is elected.  For the first time in over six hundred years, there are two popes in Rome!  This seemingly innocuous event is actually one of the greatest fulfillments of prophecy ever, as the Antichrist and the False Prophet of the Book of the Revelation take center stage.

Folks, the sand in the hourglass is almost spent, as we reach the culmination of time and the coming of the Great God and our Savior, Jesus Christ.  It was so important for me to get this information out to the body of Christ that quite often I spent over twelve hours at a time researching the material, putting it together, and writing the articles.  This work, though very profitable for me personally and hopefully a valuable service to the body of Christ, was not without its costs, however.

Therefore, I am taking a much needed break from writing, blogging, and researching.  I am going to dedicate the next few months to my spiritual, personal, familial, and social obligations.  God willing, we plan to continue to make podcasts of some of our most popular and valuable teachings, and to further develop the podcast ministry.  So, you can look forward to seeing more podcasts in the near future.  We may also make changes to the blog format and to find ways to be more consistent in blogging.  Of course, if the Spirit moves us to write in the meantime, then we will do it.  But even then, it will probably be on a weekly basis.  In fact, in order that we can be more consistent in our posting, we are planning to post only on a weekly basis in the future.

What we most wanted to accomplish in 2013 was to expose the Babylonian nature of the Roman Catholic church and to prove that the idol that Roman Catholics call Mary is actually the ancient queen of Babylon, Semiramis, who was worshipped as a goddess all over the world.  In Zionism, Stars, and Seashells, we prove that modern-day Zionism is actually Jewish Romanism, as the seashell, a symbol for the Roman Catholic Virgin Mary, is also used in the logo for the World Zionist Organization.  And in The Star of Your God we provide evidence that suggests that Roman Catholics worship the same goddess that the ancient Jews worshipped.

We also wanted to expose the Roman Catholic plan to destroy Protestant Christianity in America and use the United States as a base from which to take over the world.  We wanted to warn Christians that out of necessity, they need to beware of their Roman Catholic friends, family, and neighbors, who are their enemies because of the Gospel.  Christians should not fellowship with Roman Catholics and consider them their brothers and sisters in Christ.  Rather, we need to pray for them and witness to them because with their tradition, Roman Catholics have made the grace of God of non-effect.

You must understand that, in worshipping the Virgin Mary, a Roman Catholic is by definition the enemy of Christ; for the Virgin Mary is an idol, and God hates idolatry.  In allying with Roman Catholics, Christians have become the enemies of Christ.

We hope you have been blessed by our efforts here.  Check back periodically to see what we are doing.

In the meantime, we strongly urge you to peruse our archives.  There is some very good and scripturally sound information there.  You will be blessed.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

The Star Of Your God

The Gospel Light And Truth Crusade

Grace and peace, Saints.

Below is the present coat of arms of Pope Francis, which features the emblem of the Jesuit order.

This is actually the modified version.  The original design featured essentially the same three elements, but slightly different in form:

Original papal coat of arms.

You will notice that the five-pointed star and bunch of grapes, that were present in the original design, have been replaced with an eight-pointed star and “spikenard flower.”

You may recall that in our post, The Roman Catholic Church, Zionism, Stars, and Seashells, we relate how the apostate Jews worshipped a star which represented a pagan idol (Amos 5:26, Acts 7:43).  So, my antenna went up when I saw both the five- and six-pointed stars on the emblem of the papacy.

Interestingly, The Catholic Herald says that the eight-pointed star has always been a symbol for Mary.

“Italian Cardinal Andrea Cordero Lanza di Montezemolo, an expert on heraldry said that changing the star was ‘better’ because the five-pointed star often carries with it ‘military significance,’ while the eight-pointed star ‘has always symbolised Mary’ in Catholic Church tradition.” [Boldface mine, quotations in original.]

Again, the Bible says the apostate Jews also worshipped a star:

“But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves”.

Amos 5:26

“Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them.”

Acts 7:43

Now, think saints.

Mystery Babylon is the worship of Nimrod and Semiramis, the first king and queen of ancient Babylon.  Semiramis was called The Virgin and is said to have been worshipped the world over (Alexander Hislop, The Two Babylons).  The apostate Jews worshipped an idol, which they represented with a star.  The Greek word for star is astor (Oxford Dictionary of English).  The apostate Jews also worshipped a goddess called Ashtoreth (1 Kings 11:5).  Ashtoreth was also called Astarte and Ishtar, and was the Phoenician goddess of sexual love (Strong’s Concordance).  This identifies Ashtoreth with Diana (Modern Catholic Dictionary), the Roman goddess of sexual love (Oxford).

The Bible says that the Ephesians also worshipped a goddess called Diana, who was worshipped the world over (Acts 19:24-27).  Diana is identified with Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of sexual love (Oxford).  Aphrodite was also the goddess of the sea (Oxford)(Aphrodite means “foam born”).  This identifies Aphrodite with Venus, the Roman goddess of the sea.  The Latin word for sea is mari or mare (Oxford).  The Roman Catholic church worships a goddess called Mary.  Mary is called The Virgin and the goddess of the moon, which identifies her with Diana, the Roman goddess of the moon (Oxford, Modern Catholic Dictionary).  Diana was also the goddess of virginity (Oxford), which identifies her with Diana of Ephesus, who was worshipped as a virgin (Hislop), and Semiramis, the Virgin Queen of Babylon (Hislop).  Both Diana of Ephesus and Semiramis were worshipped all over the world (Acts 19:24-27, Hislop).

The apostate Jews worshipped a star to symbolize their goddess and they also worshipped Ashtoreth.  If all goddesses are really Semiramis, then Ashtoreth is Semiramis.  The Jews worshipped a star that was the symbol of their goddess, and the Roman Catholic church uses the eight-pointed star to symbolize Mary, who is also a goddess.  If all goddesses are really Semiramis, then Mary is Semiramis.  And if the eight-pointed star symbolizes Mary, then the eight-pointed star symbolizes Semiramis.

The eight-pointed star is also a symbol of the Hindu goddess Lakshmi:

According to Eric W. Weisstein, the above figure is called the asthalakshmi or Star of Lakshmi.  If all goddesses are the same goddess, then Lakshmi is Semiramis, who was also worshipped as Venus, Ashtoreth, and now, the Virgin Mary.

Now, I’ve got a question for you.  Is only the eight-pointed star a symbol for Mary, or are all stars symbols for Mary?  Well, consider that the eight-pointed star was chosen for Pope Francis’ coat of arms, because it symbolizes his “particular devotion to the Holy Virgin,” but the five-pointed star was chosen first and was only rejected because it carried “a military significance.”  If the eight-pointed star was chosen to represent Mary, and the five-pointed star only rejected because of its martial connotation, could it be that the five-pointed star also represents Mary?  It’s at least worth considering.

The Bible says there is nothing new under the sun.  If, therefore, the apostate Jews worshipped a goddess before, then the apostate Jews worship a goddess now.  Likewise, if the apostate Jews worshipped a star to represent their goddess before, then they worship a star to represent their goddess today.

As we showed you in Zionism, Stars, and Seashells, the logo of the World Zionist Organization (WZO) features a Star of David with what is supposed to be a menorah, fashioned in the shape of a seashell.  The seashell is a symbol for the goddess Venus, the goddess of the sea, also called Mary.

Emblem of the World Zionist Organization

The Roman Catholic church uses the seashell to represent the goddess Mary, and Pope Benedict XVI uses it on his coat of arms.

The apostate Jews worshipped a star that represented their goddess, and the Roman Catholic church uses the seashell and the eight-pointed star to symbolize their goddess.  The WZO logo features the seashell and a six-pointed star.  In the world of symbolism one thing is often associated with another by placing the two together.  If this is true of the WZO logo, then we can assume that the six-pointed star and the seashell are intended to represent the same thing.  If, therefore, the seashell represents the goddess, then the six-pointed star also represents the goddess.  If the goddess is called Mary, then the six-pointed star also represents Mary.

It is possible, then, that both the eight- and six-pointed stars represent Mary.

But what if not only the six- and eight-pointed stars were symbols for Mary, but all stars?  The following remarks and images provided by Marielena Montesino de Stuart in an article for the Catholic Herald entitled, It’s All In The Stars…Socialism and the Vatican would seem to suggest that very thing:

“Is the five-pointed star found in Mariology (Mary worship)?  Of course!

“The assumption of Mary in Attard, Malta and the Miraculous Medal, as revealed by the Virgin Mary to Saint Catherine Laboure’.” [Parentheses mine.]

"Is the six-pointed star found in Mariology?  Of course!

"The image of the Pilgrim Virgin of Fatima was made according to indications by Sister Lúcia, and was a gift from the Bishop of Leiria – and solemnly crowned by the Archbishop of Évora, on May 13, 1947."

"Is the seven-pointed star found in Mariology? Of course!

"Basilica of Our Lady of Scherpenheuvel, Belgium. The recurrent use of the number seven (in the shape of the church and the town, the number of altars outside and inside, the shape of the stars on the dome) recalls the devotion to the Seven Sorrows of the Virgin. Both the church and the town of Scherpenheuvel are in fact determined by a Hortus Conclusus in the shape of a heptagon."

"Is the eight-pointed star found in early Christian iconography? Of course! Our Lady of Perpetual Help."

"Are sun rays found in Mariology? Of course!                                                             Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn, Vilnius, Lithuania."

If we can believe the testimony of Ms. de Stuart, then the five-, six-, seven-, and eight-ponted stars are all symbols for the Roman Catholic Virgin Mary, as well as sun rays.  And if the five-, six-, seven-, and eight-pointed stars are symbols for the Virgin Mary, then, as far as I’m concerned, all stars are symbols for the Virgin Mary.

But if Mystery Babylon is the worship of Nimrod and Semiramis, then they both have to be represented on the modern-day symbol for Mystery Babylon.  If the Roman Catholic church is modern-day Babylon, and their pope is its head, then both Nimrod and Semiramis should be represented in the seal of the pope.  Again, I’m not into the occult, so I don’t know for sure.  But this is my reasoning.

Pope Benedict XVI’s papal coat of arms, for instance, features a black king and a seashell:

As we know, the seashell is a symbol for Mary, and Mary is really Semiramis.  So it is safe to assume that the black king is Nimrod.  Nimrod was the son of Cush and the grandson of Noah.  Cush was black.

The Catholic Herald says that the eight-pointed star is Mary, and we know that Mary is really Semiramis.  But where is Nimrod in Pope Francis’s coat of arms?

Well, consider that Pope Francis’ coat of arms features the logo of the Jesuits, which  features a blazing sun:

It is said that when Nimrod was killed, he was deified as The Sun God (Hislop).  That is why all gods, which are really Nimrod, are also associated with the sun.  This is true of Apollo, Horus, Hermes, Odin, Wotan, Ganesh, Shiva, Zoroaster, Quetzalcoatl, and others.  Could the Jesuit sun be a symbol for Nimrod?  It’s at least worth considering.  If the Jesuit sun does represent Nimrod, then Mystery Babylon is symbolized in Pope Francis’ coat of arms.

Are you ready to see something scary?  The number of points (as well as rays) in the Jesuit sun add up to sixteen.  Guess who else uses a symbol that features a shield with a star containing sixteen points?

Coincidence?  I would like to think so, but I don’t.

Acts 7:43 says that the apostate Jews worshipped “figures” (plural) that they made to worship “them” (also plural).  Since figures refers to the star, and them refers to Moloch and Remphan, then it can be assumed that the apostate Jews used more than one type of star to refer to Moloch and Remphan.  We know that Moloch means king, and was a name used to refer to Nimrod.  Remphan, therefore, must be Semiramis.  We know for sure that the eight-pointed star represents Semiramis, and it is possible that the six- and five-pointed stars represent her also.  What, then, was used to represent Nimrod? Well, consider that the sun is a star.

For convincing evidence that all stars are symbols for the Virgin Mary, read The Star of the Sea and The Two Marys.  If these articles don’t convince you that the Virgin Mary is the goddess Semiramis, the Virgin Queen of Babylon, and that stars are symbols for her, then nothing will.

Be encouraged and look up, for your redemption draweth nigh.

INRI

The Gospel Light And Truth Crusade

Grace and peace, saints.

As everyone knows, there is a new pope in Rome.  Formerly Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, Pope Francis chose his name from Saint Francis of Assisi, known as “The Reformer.”

Pope Francis is the first Jesuit Pope in the history of the Roman Catholic church. This should concern the body of Christ, as the Jesuits’ primary mission is to destroy Biblical Christianity, and all Christians, by the way.

This is what makes Pope Francis’ coat of arms especially interesting.  According to The Catholic Herald the above coat of arms is his is its present design:

The coat of arms of Pope Francis as of March 28, 2013.

This coat of arms is interesting indeed.  It features a shield emblazoned with the emblem of the Jesuit Order.  The emblem is a blazing sun within which are the letters I, H, S, and three nails.  Jack Chick says the letters stand for Isis, Horus, and Seb.  I can neither confirm nor deny this.  The three nails, however, are remarkably reminiscent of those that were used to nail our Lord Jesus to the cross.

The Jesuit symbol prominently figures in the coat of arms, and seems to imply that Pope Francis is a Jesuit first and a pope second.

We will talk more about this coat of arms in a later post, God willing.

“Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

And they found the stone rolled away from the selpechre.

And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

He is not here, but is risen” (Luke 24:1-6).

A Flight of Birds

The Gospel Light And Truth Crusade

birdsflight

Grace and peace, Saints.

Did you know that the word inauguration is based on the word augur, which, under the old Roman political system, was a man who interpreted omens, which included the flight of birds?  A flight of birds that appeared on the right side was taken as a good omen, but one that appeared on the left was a portent of evil.  The augur was especially important when installing, or inaugurating, a candidate into office.

Governments still interpret the flight of birds to determine the future of a candidate or leader.  I believe it is being done even in the United States, through the tradition of releasing birds as a sign of peace.  In 1948, for example, pigeons symbolizing “doves of peace,” where released when the Democratic Convention, in Philadelphia, nominated Harry Truman.  And in 1985, white doves were released at the second inauguration of President Ronald Reagan.  The practice remains.

What are the odds the birds flew on the left side in 2013?  I’d say fairly good.

A Portent of the Future?

The Gospel Light And Truth Crusade

obamafamfaces

Grace and peace, believers and unbelievers alike.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.  This morning I was reviewing the video of President Obama’s 2013 Inaugural Address, when the video cut to the First Lady and her family.  Will you look at the deadpan looks on their faces?  Now tell me: if you didn’t know the circumstances of this photo, where would you think they were?  A funeral would be my guess.

It is painfully obvious that neither of these ladies was in the moment when this photo was shot.  Look at M. Obama’s eyes.  She seems to be off somewhere very far from Washington, D.C.  And Malea, as usual, seems to be almost on the verge of tears.  Between the two girls, she is the one I feel most sorry for.  She is at an age to understand more of what’s going on than Sasha.  I pray especially hard for her.  She doesn’t seem at all like a happy child.

Now, I know that a mere frame captures but a fraction of a moment, and, as such, could be totally misunderstood and misinterpreted.  But this shot lasts almost ten seconds.  And, as you can see, the ladies’ faces remained fairly frozen.

It almost seems as though these ladies have a bad feeling about the future.  And I think I know why.

The Roman Catholic Church, Zionism, Stars, and Seashells

The Gospel Light And Truth Crusade

“And [the two witnesses] dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified” (Revelation 12:8).

Grace and peace to the body of Christ.

Semiramis, the wife of the famous rebel, Nimrod, has been worshipped as a goddess the world over under many names, many of which are in the Bible.  In 1 Kings 22:13, she is said to have been worshipped by the Zidonians as Ashtoreth, by the Moabites as Chemosh, and by the Ammonites as Milcom (1 Kings 22:13).  In chapter 19 of the book of Acts, the goddess is said to have been worshipped by the inhabitants of Ephesus (modern-day Turkey) as “Diana of the Ephesians,” and it is said of her that she was worshipped “in Asia and all the world.”  Isaiah 65:11 calls the goddess “that number” which, in the Hebrew, is gad, which translates to “Fate.”

We have written several articles that quote the Bible and secular sources to prove that the idol, which Roman Catholics call the Virgin Mary, is merely the more recent name for the same goddess.

In Mary: Virgin Daughter of Babylon, we reference Isaiah 47:1-4, which makes mention of a goddess that, like the Virgin Mary, is a virgin and, like the Virgin Mary, is called “The Lady.”   In A Goddess By Any Other Name, we provide convincing evidence that the Virgin Mary is the goddess Diana of Ephesus mentioned in the book of Acts.  In The House of the Virgin Mary, Ephesus, we discuss a holy site believed by Roman Catholics and Muslims to have been the last abode of the Virgin Mary.  Ephesus, in modern-day Turkey, was the center of Diana worship, as we have discussed.  Lastly, in The Identity of Antichrist, we quote the Bible and Alexander Hislop’s The Two Babylons to prove that the Virgin Mary is the Abomination of Desolation spoken of in the book of Daniel, the Gospels of Matthew and Mark, and the book of the Revelation.

All goddesses are Semiramis, regardless of country or culture.  The goddess has been worshipped all over the world throughout history under many names.  In fact, besides being called Mary, the goddess is also known as Venus, the goddess of love.  Venus was also called the goddess of the sea, and many are familiar with “The Birth of Venus,” the famous painting by Botticelli, which features a nude goddess standing in a seashell.

This identifies Venus with Mary, because Mary is also called the Star of the Sea.  The name Mary is based on the Latin word for sea, which is mare or mari.  Mary and Venus are the same person. The seashell has been used since antiquity as a symbol of the female genitalia, and, as such, is often used as a symbol of the sex act.  This is why beds and bed headboards, especially in hotels and brothels, are often fashioned in the shape of a seashell.

So Venus is the goddess of sexual love.  This identifies her with Aphrodite and Ashtoreth, who are fertility or sex goddesses. Things that are equal to something else are also equal to each other, so if all goddesses are Semiramis, then any goddess is the same as another.  Therefore, if the Virgin Mary is Diana, then Diana is Venus, and if Diana is Venus, then Venus is the Virgin Mary.  Further proof of this is the fact that in painting by Botticelli, Venus is shown with one knee bent.  If you look closely at just about any photo of the Virgin Mary, you will see that one of her legs is almost always bent in the same fashion.  Mary is Venus.

The many names under which Semiramis was worshipped were determined by her many attributes or characteristics.  As the Greek goddess of wisdom, for example, she was worshipped as Sophia or Sofia, the Greek word for wisdom.  But, in Rome, she was worshipped as Diana, Athena, and Minerva.  And as the goddess of the sea, she was worshipped as Mary.  The aspect of the sea further identifies Mary with Aphrodite, which means “foam born” in Greek.

As proof of this we showed a picture of Pope Benedict XVI seated in a chair the back of which is surmounted with a seashell atop stylized waves of the sea.

Since the seashell is a symbol of Venus, this is proof that the Virgin Mary, which the Roman Catholic church worships, is Venus. They are one and the same. And Benedict XVI’s chair was no isolated incident:

The seashell is even featured on Pope Benedict XVI’s coat of arms:

Now that you understand that the seashell is a Roman Catholic symbol of the Virgin Mary, you should be prepared to understand what I am going to tell you next. On the last day of President Obama’s visit to Israel last week, he visited the grave of Theodore Herzl, whom CNN described as the “father of modern Zionism.”  After laying a wreath at Herzl’s grave, President Obama stepped up to the podium to address those who were in attendance.  Note the symbol on the front of the podium:

This is the emblem of the World Zionist Organization, whose first president was Theodore Herzl (1897-1904).  Note that the emblem is a “Star of David” comprised of triangles, in the center of which is what appears to be a menorah fashioned in the shape of a seashell.

What does a seashell have to do with Israel? Probably as much as the the “Star of David,” as neither is mentioned in the Bible as a symbol for Israel.  Where a star is mentioned, however, it is in connection with idolatry:

“But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.”

Amos 5:26

“Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon” (Acts 7:42).

According to the Bible, the star represents an idol.  Moloch means “king,” and is another name for Nimrod.  This is where it gets interesting. This is what Strong’s Concordance says about Chiun:

“See Remphan. Another name for the god Saturn.”

Remphan is Strong’s #4481 and is defined:

“by incorrect transliteration for a word of Heb. of [3594]; Remphan (i.e. Kijun), an Eg. idol.”

Strong’s #3594 of the Hebrew and Aramaic Dictionary is the word Chiun, which is defined:

“from 3559; prop. a statue, i.e. idol; but used (by euphem.) for some heathen deity corresponding to Priapus or Baal-peor).”

So Chiun is another name for the Roman god Saturn and is also the same as Remphan, which is an Egyptian idol. Additionally, Chiun corresponds to Priapus and Baal. You may find it interesting to know that Strong’s #3559 is the Hebrew word kuwn (koon), which means “to be erect.”  This is extremely interesting, because Collier’s Encyclopedia defines Priapus as:

“In Greek mythology, the son of Dionysius (or Hermes) and Aphrodite and the god of fertility, worshipped as the protector of gardens and flocks. He was represented as a grotesque figure with a phallus, and the Romans used a crude image of the god as a scarecrow to keep birds and thieves from gardens…”

Collier’s Encyclopedia 1991 ed. vol. xix, p. 343 “Priapus.”

In case you didn’t know, a phallus is the male reproductive organ. Note that Priapus is the son of the Greek god Dionysius or Hermes. In The Two Babylons, historian Alexander Hislop says this about Hermes:

“Cush, as the son of Ham, was Her-mes or Mercury; for Hermes is just an Egyptian synonym for the “son of Ham.” The composition of Her-mes is, first, from “Her,” which, in Chaldee, is synonymous with Ham, or Khem, “the burnt one.” Secondly, “Mes,” is from Mesheh “to draw forth.” (born). For the very same reason Her-mes is the “Son of Her, or Ham,” the burnt one–that is, Cush. (Hislop, 25).

The Two Babylons, p. 25.

I don’t know about you, but this is absolutely fascinating. If Hermes is Cush, and Remphan or Chiun (Priapus) is “the son of Cush,” then this is proof that the Hebrews worshipped Nimrod, because Nimrod is the only son of Cush who was worshipped as a god:

“And Cush begat Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the earth, he was a mighty hunter before the Lord” (Genesis 10:8,9).

“Mighty One” in the Bible is eloaah (as opposed to elohim), which means a deity: that is, an idol. As we have seen, the Jews worshipped a star to represent their gods Moloch, Remphan, and Chiun. Moloch means “king,” and Remphan and Chiun are names for a pagan deity that corresponds to Priapus and Baal. Is it merely a coincidence that Priapus was represented with a phallus and Chiun is based on a Hebrew word which means “to be erect?” Do you know that since Chiun is an Egyptian diety that corresponds to the Greek god Priapus, who is worshipped with a phallus, then Chiun also corresponds to Osiris (or Horus), who, in the Egyptian Mysteries of Isis and Osiris, was also represented with a phallus?

The Egyptians worshipped a black god called Osiris or Ra; his wife, Isis; and their son, Horus.  Osiris has been identified with Cush, the son of Ham, and the grandson of Noah.  Cush, called Ethiops, “The Black One,” is the father of the black race.  His father, Ham, was known in Egypt as Al Khem, “The Burnt One.”

Psalms 105 and 106 call Egypt “The Land of Ham.”  Because Chiun is an Egyptian deity, it is probable that the Jews brought the worship of this idol back with them in the Exodus out of Egypt. We know that when Moses went up to Mount Horeb to receive the Law, he returned to find the Jews worshipping a golden calf which they had made.  Proof that this calf was a symbol for Nimrod is provided by Hislop:

“The ordinary way in which the favourite [sic] Egyptian divinity Osiris was mystically [secretly] represented was under the form of a young bull or calf” (p. 45).

We know therefore that Moloch, Chiun, and Remphan are really Nimrod the son of Hermes or Cush. But listen to what Oxford’s Dictionary of English says about Isis:

“A goddess of fertility, wife of Osiris and mother of Horus.  Her worship spread to western Asia, Greece, and Rome, where she was identified with various local goddesses.”

If Nimrod is Osiris and Isis is Osiris’ wife, then Isis is Semiramis. When a goddess is “identified” with another goddess, it means that they both share the same traits, or characteristics, and those traits identify them as the same goddess.  The Virgin Mary, then, is Isis and Semiramis. It must be noted here that both Isis and the Virgin Mary have been identified with the moon, as well as the Roman goddess Diana.  And both Isis and Ashtoreth, as well as a number of other goddesses, are goddesses of fertility.

Recall that Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI’s coat of arms features a black king and a seashell.

In that the seashell is a symbol of the goddess, Semiramis, it is highly likely that the black king is Cush “the burnt one.” The bear then, would be Nimrod, the “T” on its side standing for Tammuz. Tammuz means “he who purifies by fire.” Nimrod was called Tammuz because he had the peculiar habit of demanding that children be sacrificed to him by setting them on fire, which he said purified them.

But there is something else. Recall that Remphan is another name for the god Saturn. Alexander Hislop says this about Saturn:

“We have still further evidence from what the scattered notices of antiquity say of the first deified king of Babylon [Nimrod], under a name that identifies him as the husband of Rhea [Semiramis]…That name is Kronos or Saturn.” [Brackets and boldface mine.]

The Two Babylons, p. 31.

Saturn is Nimrod! If Chiun is Remphan, and Remphan is Saturn, and Saturn is Nimrod, then Remphan and Chiun are Nimrod. If therefore, the Star of David is the same star that the apostate Jews used to represent Nimrod, then, by occult association, the seashell also represents a pagan deity; possibly even the same one. And all deities are in reality two people: Nimrod and Semiramis.

But there is still something else we ought to consider. Alexander Hislop says that Saturn was called “The Hidden One” (p. 45), so-called because he was shown only symbolically, whereas the goddess was worshipped openly. Now, if the star of the apostate Jews was symbolic of Nimrod, then how came the star to be associated with the goddess? It is possible that the star, though originally an occult symbol for Nimrod, came to be associated with the goddess Semiramis when the practitioners of the Mystery Religion exalted her over Nimrod. But it is still symbolic of Nimrod. So, when the Virgin Mary is shown with a star, then that star is symbolic of Nimrod or Saturn, The Hidden One.

I hope you recognize the significance of this.  During a press conference in Israel last week, President Obama expressed his desire to see a Palestinian state alongside a Jewish state, and he vowed that his administration would do everything it could to facilitate this.  He also said that he would like to see settlement activity halted in the occupied territories and the land returned to the Palestinians.

Zionism is said to be the desire for Israel to eventually claim all the territory God promised to Abraham in the Bible.  But modern-day Zionism, in attempting to negotiate a two-state solution and return the occupied territories to the Palestinians, is not furthering that aim.  They are, in fact, furthering the goals of the Vatican, which has always desired to see Jerusalem become an international city and not the capital of a Jewish state.  In fact, the Vatican does not recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, but of Palestine.  That is why the U.S. embassy, as well as all foreign embassies, is not located in Jerusalem, but in Tel Aviv.

The Bible says that the Antichrist, Pope Benedict XVI, will eventually rule the world from Jerusalem.  The Vatican has always wanted to make Jerusalem the headquarters of its one-world theocratic government.  Making Jerusalem an international city would be a major step towards this goal.  In fact, the Vatican has been in negotiations with Israel for several years towards that end.

Jesus spoke of the Synagogue of Satan, “who say they are Jews, but are not” (Revelation 2:9, 3:9). Daniel 11:30 tells us that at some point, some Jews will “forsake the holy covenant” and “have intelligence” with the Antichrist.  I believe that those who forsake the covenant are those Jews who are negotiating with the Vatican.  These Jews, either for power, financial gain, or out of religious conviction, support the Pope and his star goddess, the goddess of the sea, the Virgin Mary.

Zionism is Jewish Romanism.

“Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand” (Daniel 12:10).

The worshippers of the goddess Semiramis identify themselves to one another using secret hand signs.  Read more about the Cult of Mary here.
