Is Steve Harvey a Christian? — 50 Comments

  1. Hello all! I seen Stephen comment that Steve Harvey should be reached by the truth about Jesus? So he can understand his errors when it comes to the scriptures and god and jesus? And well first of all yes god has no problem showing any person the truths that bring them more in line with jesus and the truth of scripture! No matter who they are or where the are or what they are doing? But for one the whole full spectrum of all media and entertainment are controlled by a very small group of so called (elites). And these elites are at the top of stans human agents on earth? And most if not all of them are actually fully possessed by demons. And also the overarching earthly organisation satan uses on earth is called the illuminati. And all of the other so called secret societies are sections within the illuminatti. It’s all part of Satan’s strategy of the great deception that will fall over all who are not part of the true body of Christ during the last days? And those last days have already started. So as i said? Yes god can reach anyone with the truth of jesus and the scriptures at any time? And therefore they can come out from under the deception. But with Steve Harvey? He is well connected in entertainment industry. And part of the illuminattis ploy is systematic mind control techniques? One of the mind control tecniques is called monarch. But there are others? And this is really evil and serious stuff! Just Google it and you will soon see? So with Steve harvey? Is he mind controlled? And also is he willing to stand against the illuminatti? And is he willing to give up all of his fame and fortune? And then in the end? Even possibly be taken killed by the illuminatti? And even before any of that begins in his life? He has to be reached with the real truth? And also he has to be open minded to receive the truth? And also if he himself is possessed by a demon? (Which many people in entertainment are?) Then that would make it even harder for him to hear and accept and act on the truth? But yes it can happen? With god all things are possible!!!!!! But first someone has to present the real truth to him? Which most likely has already happened? Probably several times in Steve Harvey’s life? And when a person sees and knows a person is in error when it comes to jesus or the scriptures? Especially huge error like with Steve harvey? Then the are obligated to come to the person out of love! And attempt to restore them unto the truth? And that is not judging someone? Thank you all for reading this! God bless you all!

  2. @Stillman: Thank you so much. It was no accident that I stumbled upon this blog. I am still growing in the word but I also have learned a lot. Therefore, I can not make an accuse to God that I do not know. I am so tired of those who confess to believe the Word of God use Matthews 7:1 as a vehicle to shoot down the truth. You and a few other posters explained things so well here and it has blessed me even more. Judgment begins with those who say they belong to God and therefore we should judge one another. I can not be a fornicator and attempt to counsel someone else about the same sin, but once I have changed my thinking, repented perhaps I can help someone else who is indulging in the same sin. Anyway, thank you and I will be reading this blog a lot more. God bless you.

    • Well spoken, MJ. Judgment begins at the house of God. If we Christians would troubleshoot our so-called and self-proclaimed leaders, then the unsaved world would not have to do it for us, as is happening. Thank you for your blessing, and may the good Lord Jesus bless you and yours. Please do come back!

  3. Here’s a take on the ‘judgement’ situation. To support the misunderstandings concerning Judge not lest ye be judged one can search on ‘the cult of do not judge’ since someone already wrote on it.

On another note, we are as noted earlier speaking of spiritual discernment. If one can see and understand his spiritual malady and discern what it is, then I believe it is for his breathern with patience, love, and mercifulness help him come to a place to see where he may or might not be in error. Where are they? What do they say? Maybe his entire church family is a bit the same. We simply do not know. I saw the info concerning his New Age-isms and am familiar with Law of Attraction as is the ‘thought’ of Osteen and others, which appears to be a slant on “The Power of Positive Thinking’ which went through many churches back in the day (not mine)..but unknowingly we are all in the midst of it and being bombarded with it. It’s not even new age really, they just adapted it into their palette of repertoires thanks to Norman Vincent Peale and put a twist on it . In the end, though yes we can be advised, I’m not convinced anyone sees Harvey as someone they would ‘follow’ – in fact, it would be impossible to base their faith apart from That which is God Given in Christ. It might not be too far of a stretch of the imagination to figure he fits the mold of no one can serve two masters as nearly every TV ‘Evangelist’ or actor leans toward, but a select few. The temptation is just too great. This does not mean that I am ‘in support’ of him in the sense of keeping him where he is at, but we ought be supportive toward him for a better Understanding and pray that those who are closer to Him come to the place by The Spirit to see his position in Christ (or not). Who knows..the day will come when his TV days are over and hopefully not before something worse might occur. I believe it was Augustine or one of those ‘catholic church’ fathers who in his later days saw all his writings as having been a waste of time (Amen!). I do not watch Harvey or TV much anyway anymore not because I think it makes me somehow more ‘righteous’..but it simply holds no interest (which considering what is on TV recently isn’t too difficult to do) just like other things that have fallen into the trash heap of things that “I consider all things apart from Christ, rubbish”. Some just have a higher tolerance for some things more than others. Thanks for the warning though on Harvey though I never considered him a threat one way or the other , not unlike Oprah who definitely has ‘followers’. Now, IF there are followers …of “harvey’..we need to ask who Baptized them… I just happen to have Harvey on right now featuring toddlers. Have to say..seen a lot worse but watching to figure out if he’s a Christian or not..otherwise, life would be intolerable.

  4. My brother sent me a link to a clip of Steve Harvey talking off camera after his Miss Universe fiasco. I told him I didn’t open it and he asked me why. I told him that I had discovered a long time ago that he was a fraud but presents himself as a man of God.

He began to defend Harvey primarily based on the fact that he has said publicly that God had blessed him with success. Thus, in my brother’s eyes, that was evidence enough of his righteousness. I love my brother, so I’m slow to condemn his beliefs without facts. Indeed, I went on to discuss his infidelity, his estranged relationship with his family, and his constant on air mockery of the church (and by extension Lord Jesus).

To my surprise he became very defensive and added that if true, send him a link supporting my opinion. As many of you who share The Still Man’s opinions as I do, I searhed the net. Once I got past all the links to the Miss Universe fiasco, there for all the world to see (and hear) the unvarnished truth of the man behind mask.

I offer this post from someone who has lived more than six decades and seen changes in music, comedy, movies, society, laws, religious institutions and more. From a Christian point of view, all of these are on the same downward Satanic slide, so much so, that “even the very elect” have been deceived.

I want to first personally thank The Still Man” for this blog because of all the Harvey mess I uncovered, this is the one I chose to send my brother. I could have selected links discussing Freemasonry or worshiping false gods or his hypocrisy as both a relationship expert and an adulterer.

So to those who have the intellectual curiosity to do your own research I encourage you to do so as I did. I think the journey will take you far beyond the simple question of whether “Broderick Stephen Harvey is a Christian” to “Am I doing enough to lift up the name of Jesus? Because if He be lifted up, he’ll draw all men unto Him (to save the world).

So I ask that you not quarrel but study and pray that this discussion will lift up the name of Jesus and bless those who are drawn to the truth which is the Word.

    • Thank you “Older Man,” from another older man, for your very insightful and true comment. I’m pushing six decades myself, so I have seen many of the same societal changes you have especially with regard to what has been called “the plot to kill God.” And I greatly appreciate your admonition for those with “intellectual curiosity” to do their own research, as you did, and as I also did some fifteen years ago at the suggestion of researcher Bill Cooper. I started out researching the New World Order and ended up at the foot of the Cross of Jesus. I am a witness that you speak the truth. Amen! Let us “not quarrel but study and pray” that this discussion will lift up the name of Jesus and draw other to the Word. Well spoken!

God bless you, for sharing your wisdom and experience with us and for encouraging me greatly.

      Your servant,

      –TSM

  5. Seems the key word is JUDGEMENT. I’ll just at this. God is the judge. However there are times where we will have to make a Righteous judgement. If it lines up according to the god’s will then you can make the judgement. Continue to study the word of god everyone. we all do still lack a bit of knowledge.

  6. Excellent, accurate information! I came across Steve Harvey on TBN tonight and was so upset by his obvious rejection of biblical Christianity, that I called TBN to express my concerns. My jaw literally dropped as I heard him admit he “didn’t know any bible verses” and speak of how Christianity “doesn’t need to be a thin, white line” but inclusive of the world. Uh what?! I recall my bible telling me to be like Christ, NOT the world. I also know it clearly states that “narrow” is the path leading to life and “broad” is the path leading to destruction… Wake up people! Harvey speaks blasphemy! To support this man and believe he is a Christian is much worse than going to a dirty comedy show with an outright atheist comedian. This man is using the name of God to promote HIMSELF and lead people astray from Jesus Christ and biblical truth.

    • Amen Rebecca! Well spoken!

Most of us know that the Bible says we should not be conformed to this world, but transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2). But we seldom appreciate that it goes on to say, “That ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.” By separating ourselves from worldly cares and pleasures, we demonstrate to the unbelieving (and believing) world how God wants His people to live. Harvey, to the contrary, is trying to bring the world into the Church because, in reality, he hates the Church. And it shows every time he speaks. But, don’t worry about Harvey. No true Christian believes he is saved. Harvey is merely part of the “strong delusion” designed by the Lord Jesus Himself to deceive those who want to be deceived.

Jesus is separating the sheep from the goats. By taking this strong stance against Harvey, you have proven that you are one of the sheep. I applaud and appreciate you for having the courage to call TBN and complain about Harvey. More Christians need to do that. God bless you, and keep the faith!

  7. Good for you, still man! I agree with you 100%. One thing that Jesus never did was sit on both sides of the fence. He encourages everyone to choose the narrow way that few follow. Thanks for your stance even though it is not popular.

  8. I came across this site by searching for a specific comedy routine from Steve Harvey. I am amazed at how much time and effort is put into whether Steve Harvey is a Christian or not. It is NOT your place to judge. God is the judge of all, and He did not ask for any help. Since “Judge not, that ye be not judged” is not enough, try Matthew 7:5, “You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

I watch Steve Harvey to laugh. He is not my savior or role model. When you judge keep in mind, Isaiah 55:8, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.” You do not know the mind of God.

Job asked God questions and God replied in Job 38-41. I won’t copy and paste all of it for the sake of space.

“38 Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. He said:

2 “Who is this that obscures my plans
    with words without knowledge?
    3 Brace yourself like a man;
    I will question you,
    and you shall answer me.
4 “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
    Tell me, if you understand.
5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?
6 On what were its footings set,
    or who laid its cornerstone—
7 while the morning stars sang together
and all the angels[a] shouted for joy?
“Who shut up the sea behind doors
when it burst forth from the womb,
9 when I made the clouds its garment
and wrapped it in thick darkness,
10 when I fixed limits for it
and set its doors and bars in place,
    11 when I said, ‘This far you may come and no farther;
here is where your proud waves halt’?
12 “Have you ever given orders to the morning,
or shown the dawn its place,
13 that it might take the earth by the edges
and shake the wicked out of it?
    14 The earth takes shape like clay under a seal;
its features stand out like those of a garment.
15 The wicked are denied their light,
and their upraised arm is broken.
16 “Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea
or walked in the recesses of the deep?
17 Have the gates of death been shown to you?
Have you seen the gates of the deepest darkness?
18 Have you comprehended the vast expanses of the earth?
Tell me, if you know all this.”

My question to you is, “tell me, if you know all this?” You don’t, so mind your business and be mindful of your own faults and sins for we all have them.

Since you don’t know Steve Harvey personally “Thou shalt not bear false witness.” Or in simple terms, “If you don’t know anything, don’t say anything.

    • You’re kidding right? After all the evidence I gave that Steve Harvey is a New Ager, you say that I don’t know anything? Incredible!

If Steve Harvey is not your Savior or role model, then you shouldn’t be getting bent out of shape if someone scrutinizes the man’s words. Believe you me: if Steve Harvey said he was a doctor, doctors and perspective patients alike would be going over his record with a fine-tooth comb. The same would be the case if he claimed to be a lawyer. But the man claims to be a Christian, and people who really should not even care get offended because Christians check his credentials.

Steve Harvey is laughing at people like you, all the way to the bank. As a matter of fact, this is what people who belong to the same society as Steve Harvey have said about the masses of ignorant sheep:

“Those who will not use their brains, are no better off than people who have no brains. Such are beasts of burden and steaks on the table by choice and consent, and are our legal and lawful prey.”

They’re talking about you, sister. Wake up!

      • @Still Man,

In your defends of your accurate JUDGEMENT of Steve Harvey, let me first provide some scriptures in your defense.

Read Ezekiel 3:17-21. which I believe is more applicable than the response given by Valerie in quoting Job 38-41. Also, her response to your is fill with judgment of her own against you so I was a little shock when she quoted Matthew 7:5 doing the same towards that she accuses you of doing to Steve Harvey.

I would also read Isa 55:6-11 to get the context of Isa 55:8 which is his word. For us, his words are written in the Bible and I believe that you have judged him rightly.

I would like to provide a few other verses in your defense:

2 Corinth 11;14-15 And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness whose end shall be according to their works.

John 7:25 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Eph: 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Steve Harvey is a popular celebrity and in our society, especially among us who call ourselves Christians, we idolize them for there fame, wealth, popularity and very other because others like them so we can fit in and be accepted amongst our friends and family. We quote verses from the scriptures that we highlight in our bibles from services we have heard but most Christians have never read their bibles from cover to cover and therefore do not know or understand the full character of God.

Steve Harvey is a new ager. His advice to women on how to get a man does not coincide with the scriptures with regards to women being modest and most importantly virtuous. His advice is to be shiny, sensual, pleasing to the eyes and one to be desired. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is what made Eve disobey the commandments of God and Adam followed suit. Just as God is Love said, They will be known by their fruit.

The continued comments I read in regards to use not being able to judge because we are sinner is ridiculous and an excuse to stay in error. 2Tim 3:15 says that all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine (how to believe rightly) reproof (when we are not believing rightly) and correction ( to get us back to believing rightly) We as Christian are supposed to do all these things towards each other as well and expose doctrine that is false. You have done that and I appreciate you taking the time to do so. Not so much for me because I’m not a Steve Harvey idolater to the extent that I would stand up to make a defense for him. There are many that follow him and due to their lack of knowledge may follow his false doctrine because Satan works subtly. He doesn’t always put it right in your face to be easily rejected.

Keep doing what you’re doing. Take care, God bless and please excuse the typos, and grammatical errors. It’s late and I need to go to bed.

        • Your Scripture references are spot on, and the point that you made about Steve Harvey apologists being guilty of idolizing this man cannot be overemphasized. I’m grateful to the Lord Jesus that there are still sober, mature, thinking people left in the world. God bless you too.

      • @The Still Man:Well said! I agree Valerie needs to wake up!I can’t people think Christians are not suppose to judge . JESUS CHRIST COMMANDS IT! Jesus said use righteous judgment when you Judge.Wrong is wrong. Ungodliness is ungodliness. False religion is false religion. We are called to judge it as such, and rightly judge PERSONS who promote and practice it. We don’t judge their souls, we judge their fruit, their choices, their action. God judges the soul.

Christians should quit sugar coating this fact and shriveling every time someone throws the “judgmental” label at them. Too many people avoid the Truth because they have been brainwashed by this “we are not supposed to judge” fallacy. The Bible tells us to judge, but NOT to judge unrighteously or hypocritically. In other words, you don’t judge with a standard you aren’t willing to apply to yourself (hypocrisy), and you don’t judge by any standard other than God’s (righteousness).

(Matthew 7:1-5) – “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” (NKJV;)

To interpret this as saying “never judge” is sheer foolishness. If someone shoots up your local school and kills a bunch of kids, will you not judge that as evil?

        • Absolutely, Cassie. People use the word judge to mean “condemn.” But, as you say, we cannot judge anyone, as that is God’s exclusive prerogative. What Jesus meant for us to do is DISCERN a person’s fruit. This is the type of judgment we are to pronounce. And your example is well taken. We, as Christians, had better judge evil when we see it. Not doing this is one reason the world is so jacked up. Everyone is afraid to call evil what it is: evil.

  9. I must say before I even found this blog, I happened upon TBN last night and saw Steve Harvey interviewing Kirk Franklin. Half way through the interview I became offended and turned my television. I am a child of God, has been the last 12 years. I am so tired of water down christianity and I really am ready to practice holiness and to follow the word of God without compromise. I am still getting there, but that is my goal, that is my aim, that is where I aspire to be.

Ok so Steve said he plays secular music on his radio show and he let the audience know that “is what I do” in other words I will not change what I play is what I got from that statement. Still man rightfully said according to the Bible we WILL BE known by our FRUITS. You cannot tell me that a christian who loves God and wants to be led by the Holy Spirit will not allow the Holy Spirit to transform him/her, too often we try to conform to the world. Besides God said do not be lukewarm or he will spew us out of his mouth. We have to be hot or cold, we have to decide what we want to be, either we walk away from the world and follow Christ or we stay in the world, no middle ground. Jesus said any man who puts his hands to the plow and looks back is not fit for the kingdom, how often we look back, unwilling to let go of who we were to embrace what we could become.

I agree with Still Man, I endorce his total article. Its time the church takes a stand for holiness and righteousness. Until I see the fruit on Harvey’s tree, I will not believe. I am not judging him, but I have to guard my salvation, I will not open up my spirit to all sorts of doctrines of devils and seducing spirits that come to deceive and seduce and ultimately kill the flock of God. We would better beware. Too often we are caught up with personalities and celebrities, that we are afraid to stand for truth and righteousness.

You are doing a brave thing still man, if it loooks like a duck and walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, its 99.9% chance of being a duck. I will not count Harvey an enemy, I will pray for his salvation and admonish him, but he will not be teaching me these strange doctrines, sugar coated and sugar frosted in all the christian slangs and the things that sound right to the undetecting ears. We have to ask God for the gift of discernment. Wouldnt you agree it is one of the gifts that is most needed by the Body of Christ in these times?

    • Thank you, for your comment and your endorsement, and thank you for standing up for truth and not being deceived by this trojan horse.

Harvey is promoting worldly Christianity. He calls himself a “new Christian,” which many may take to mean a revived, reformed Christian. But I believe Harvey means that he is a New Age Christian: an abominable hybrid: paying lip service to Jesus, but living in sin and ungodliness; emphasizing being “a work in progress” rather than stressing holiness.

Harvey is an antichrist, but true Christians need not fear. He is part of the “strong delusion” allowed by God to deceive those who are really not trying to do what is pleasing in God’s sight. Harvey is our enemy for Christ’s sake, but Jesus told us to pray for our enemies, so this is totally acceptable.

Yes, I would totally agree that of all the gifts of the Spirit, discernment is the Number One gift that we Christians need in these last days. It is the only way that we can survive the myriad deceptions that are being hurled our way.

Thanks for an insightful and edifying comment.

  10. Please keep “exposing” the truth. Whether the babes on milk want to hear it or not. I’m not saying these Christians who stand up for the likes of Oprah, and Steve are not Christians but they seem very naive and unaware. Oprah is one of the if not the biggest New Ager out there. She makes me sick. Yes sick, if you deny and inwardly hate my Jesus the son of the living God, yes sickening. Steve Harvey and Tyler Perry “mock” God. They play about the Holy Spirit…really. Really? Look at the fruit!!!!

    • Thanks for your comment, Tiffany. Indeed, Steve Harvey and Tyler Perry both mock our Lord Jesus, and all Christians, and it is painfully obvious that they both hate Jesus. They are both part of the “strong delusion” that Paul speaks of in 2 Thessalonians 2:11, intended to deceive those who want to be deceived. Why? “That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. These shall have their part in the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

  11. Hi, I just wanted to add a comment about Oprah. I have always paid close attention to the comments that Oprah has made regarding religion and prayed that she would one day find the Lord. It has always been clear to me that she was actively searching for the truth, that there was a desire there for God but she just hadn’t figured out what truth was yet. This is something that I paid attention to for years. Well in the more recent times I noticed a change in her. I remember telling my mom that something was different. There was a different vibe and her words were different. I said I believe she finally found God. Well if anyone watched as she brought her show to it’s final closing she gave a speech and spoke of something but she didn’t name it until the end. I wish I could remember her wording but she said “and that is Jesus Christ”. It was the first time that you ever heard her say it and I believe it was because she had just found Him so thank God for that. As we all know, this Christian walk is a process so if you do hear something that doesn’t line up don’t be so quick to say oh she’s serving the devil because she has to grow in the things of God.

    • Ophra Winfrey is not a christian because she is in the new age movement that rejects Jesus. Ophra has no conviction of christian beliefs because she publicly on her show didn’t accept that Jesus is the Christ. With that alone excludes this woman from being a christian. She needs to repent and publicly confess that JesusChrist is LORD. Without repentence, there is no remission of sin. You either believe or you don’t and Ophra has declare a NO to JESUS. SO LET’S BE REAL AND TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS WOMAN WHO IS ANYTHING, BUT a christian. thank you

      • Amen, Jose!

Oprah Winfrey indeed is no Christian. She stated publicly that Jesus is not The Way, but “He came to show us the way.” Oprah Winfrey hates Christianity, yet she calls herself a Christian. How does she do it? She says she is a Christian in the sense that she follows the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” This woman is a blasphemer and a false prophet, whose end shall be in accordance with her works.

  12. Our brother The Still Man is following Apostle Paul’s advise: If a brother in Christ sin, we should rebuke him. If he repent we forgive him. Perhaps we need to bring this to Steve Harvey’s attention. I also get troubled by Christians who do not know that Judgment shall begin in the House of God. We Christians must judge each other first because we have a whole world and angels to judge. I recommend for those throwing out the “Judge not” that they need to really study the New Testament. Many “Christians” do not know that each time they open their mouths and speak the Word of God to anyone they both Judge, condemn and reward the listener or person whose deaf ears the Word falls on. That being said, all I can say is we condemn not our brothers nor sisters to Satan for destruction but rather we rebuke them to repentance. Amen.

  13. The bottom line is what type of fruit does Steve Harvey bare? If he is living like those in the world, therefore he is of the world. Jesus said you will know them by their fruit. No one is prefect by all means. But to practice sin and call ourselves his disciples. Not. Satan said that no one will serve god faithfully until the end. We all have to stand on our own merit. Also, what people need to realize is that when we do things contrary to God’s will, They not really judging us they want to say god is no good. So. let’s not carry our god in a worthless way. If we practice sin then we are serving Satan it is just that simple. No being on the fence. Is the bible judging when it tells us in 1Corithians chapter 5 verses 9-13
” 9 In my letter I wrote YOU to quit mixing in company with fornicators, 10 not [meaning] entirely with the fornicators of this world or the greedy persons and extortioners or idolaters. Otherwise, YOU would actually have to get out of the world. 11 But now I am writing YOU to quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man. 12 For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Do YOU not judge those inside, 13 while God judges those outside? “Remove the wicked [man] from among yourselves.”

Practicing sin is what God’s enemies do. It God’s way not ours. When you go under the water you say that you have disowned yourself. That like us going to God and saying LOOK GOD I AM GOING TO SERVE YOU HOW I WANNA SERVE YOU.NOT HOW YOU WANNA BE SERVED.So, did God tell us to judge here? By Steve Harvey’s act he is no Christian. And neither is Kirk Franklin he acts worldly too. Christian’s are supposed to be different from those living Ungodly lifestyles. We are how we behave. We live in harmony with the works of the flesh then we are fleshly. If we live in harmony with the spirit then we are spiritual. Again, we are judged by the fruit we bear.

  14. You are unbelievably judgmental. Now you seem to be trying to call my faith into question. Well I don’t know about Steve Harvey (and neither do you despite all your bluster), but I am CERTAIN that I am a child of God.

    • Lance, I am glad that you said “seem,” because far be it from me to call your faith into question. Only you and Jesus know whether you are really a child of God. But you have got to understand that it is our duty to warn the body of Christ about people like Steve Harvey, who because of his position in the black community, and because so many are disgruntled and disillusioned by phony Christianity, has the potential to deceive many into the Pit. I am only fulfilling my Christian obligation by exposing this man.

Now, by your own admission, you don’t know whether Steve Harvey is a Christian. Then why not research my claims and make an honest, objective judgment whether or not Steve Harvey is a Bible-believing Christian or a New Ager? You see, the proper thing to do whenever someone makes a claim you disagree with and feel strongly enough about is to disapprove those claims through your own research. Because it is unfruitful and un-edifying to defend your position with “I don’t know.” While an honest statement, it is imprudent to make it more than once.

    • How can you say you are a child of god when you defend his enemies? Stop sugar coating wrongdoing! Also, remember Satan is the god of this system of things. So, are you his child? If The Creator of all Says no he means no, Not maybe. Stop practicing me-ism. If Steve wrong he wrong. If you side with him you will receive his judgment. the way we live our lives says we are willing to puts Gods name on high. Practicing sin is not a joke. It is serious in gods eyes.

      • I can say I am a child of God because I have asked Christ to forgive my sins. I have not sided with any enemy of God. Just because this web site paints Steve Harvey as an evil man does not make it so.

  15. I could not disagree with you more. I am a Christian, and I find it very disturbing that you, as a brother in Christ, purport to know what is in another man’s heart. The Bible says judge not lest ye be judged. I saw the comedy show which the above videos came from, and I didnt think that Steve Harvey appeared to be unChristian during his show at all. I am not saying that Steve Harvey is a perfect man, none of us are, but I also don’t think he is the monster you paint him out to be. I also think that you make unbelievable leaps in your accusations. As a Christian and born again child of God, I am disturbed with the entire tone of your article.

    • First, thank you Lance for your comment. Now, all pleasantries aside, as a Christian and born-again child of God, I am disturbed that you could be so marvelously blind and still call yourself a Christian. Yet, I am not surprised, as many who call themselves Christians never contend for the faith that was once delivered to the Saints.

What’s worse, is that not only do they accept and fellowship with ANYONE who calls himself a Christian, but they blindly follow people like Harvey, who not only blaspheme the name of Jesus Christ, but bring shame and dishonor on the Church of God and cheapen the blood of our Savior.

I am ashamed of so-called Christians who constantly parrot about the line that Jesus said “Judge not lest ye be judged,” and totally forget that in Matthew 7:15 Jesus told us to beware of false prophets, who wear sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are “ravening wolves.” He goes on to say, “Ye shall know them by their fruits.” Why do you think Jesus warned us? So we could just mark them and go about our business as though nothing happened?

What does a sheep do when it sees a wolf coming? It brays and warns the rest of the flock. I am warning the rest of the flock. I get sick of hearing fake Christians saying “judge not” completely overlooking that the Bible also says “the mouth of the righteous speaketh judgment.”

John the Baptist would have kept his head had he not spoken against Herod for marrying the wife of his own brother. John was thrown into prison while Jesus preached. If Jesus had a problem with John rebuking Herod, he would have said so. But what did He say? “There is no prophet born of a woman greater than John the Baptist.” Jesus endorsed John’s actions.

The Apostle Paul was also betrayed by “false brethren” because he contended for the faith. This is what happens when you confront evil. But we are admonished to do that very thing.

I’m sick of tolerant, politically correct Christians. Jesus was not politically correct. That same Jesus who said, “Judge not lest ye be judged,” uttered these words:

“Woe unto thee scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!”

By “judge not lest ye be judge” Jesus did not mean we are not to judge. He meant be careful before you judge because you yourself may be judged also. What He was saying is make sure your own ducks are in order before you judge.

People love to cite Jesus saying that a person sees a splinter in someone’s eye while he has a log in his own. They conveniently neglect to mention that right after that Jesus said go take the log out of your eye, and then come back and tell the person about the splinter in his eye. Jesus never said we are not to judge. We are most certainly to judge, but we had better make sure we are not doing the same thing as the person we judge.

I do not practice Witchcraft, New Age Hinduism, Freemasonry, or worldly Christianity, so I am perfectly free to critique Harvey’s version of Christianity, which is replete with all of these things. A blind man can see that. All of the things I have said are true. I even give citations so you can look them up yourself. Do not get upset at me because 1 + 1 = 2.

I have not painted Harvey as a monster as you say. I merely exposed what it is he is not saying by closely examining what he is saying. We are admonished in Scripture to watch in all things. I would advise you to take the same course lest you be deceived into the Pit.

Most Christians today have been thoroughly sprayed and neutered. The wicked feel very comfortable around them because they never condemn them for their evil ways. Most of the time this is because they too are living in sin and don’t want anyone to condemn their behavior. This ought not to be.

If my “unbelievable leaps” disturb you, it is probably a good thing I did not say what I really think. You would have had a coronary.

    • I completely understand where Lance is coming from. Jesus did say judge not lest ye be judged and on the flip side he tells us to judge. These can seem like conflicting statements to someone who does not understand. What God is saying is that we do have to judge to a degree. That is the only way that we can make wise decisions on who to associate ourselves with and so on. On the other hand we CANNOT judge the heart of others. You can’t say so and so wasn’t saved because they sang a song on a checkerboard floor so they worshipped satan as in the whitney article. You don’t know their hearts and you don’t know what their relationship with God is. In Steve Harveys case I wouldn’t be so quick to say he’s a New Ager. If anything I would say he is a baby Christian who is in the process of growing and has maybe heard some things that don’t line up with the word of God and may need to be corrected on some things. Or just stating the facts such as his language and some of the advice he gives but that’s more than likely due to the fact that he hasn’t completely sold out to God and is still learning.

      • I wouldn’t bother commenting if I thought this blog was foolishness so still man i hope you receive what i have to say with the heart that it is given.

      • Tiffany, thank you for your comment. Now, I can indeed judge the heart of others, as the Scripture says, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9). That includes you and me. The only thing that keeps us from being wicked is the Spirit of God that lives in us. Jesus told us that we “shall know them by their fruits,” and Steve Harvey’s fruit is not Christian.

Harvey is not doing these things out of Christian immaturity as you suggest. Harvey hobnobs with the movers and shakers in the so-called Christian community. If it were merely a case of him not knowing what he was doing, don’t you think by now someone would have pulled him to the side and counseled him? Hmmmm? He is not doing any of this out of ignorance. He knows exactly what he’s doing.

As far as being a New Ager, understand that Steve Harvey is teaching New Age philosophy. For instance, he says that what one thinks and says will become reality. This speaking things into existence is known in the New Age as “The Law of Causality.” I quote from the New Age book, Secret Societies and Their Power in the Twentieth Century:

“You have a certain idea, and the more you think about this idea, the stronger it gets. Thus you establish a cause. The effect is that whatever that idea was, it will enter your life sooner or later” (p. 341).

Where is this in the Bible? Do you know that the only person who ever spoke anything into existence is God? Did you know that the word “universe” is comprised of two words: uni = one, and verse = a spoken sentence. God literally spoke everything into existence. We can speak and think what we want and if God is really in charge, then it won’t matter one iota. If it is not God’s will, it will not happen. This philosophy is actually teaching that man is god, which is the message of the New Age. In case you are having trouble digesting this, I present, for your edification, this line from the same book, Secret Societies:

“If you take a person’s divinity, his perfection away, if you tell him that he exists apart from Creation, you can easily dominate him. Creation never created a hell or a devil. These are fearful creations of man to torture his brethren” (p. 362).

Notice that Creation is capitalized, like one would do for a deity. This New Ager is into witchcraft and worships creation. This is idolatry, as Paul says in Romans 1 that idolaters, “worship the creature (created thing) more than the Creator.” Notice that he also wrote that “Creation never created a hell of a devil.” This denies God as the Creator, and actually shows that evolution is actually witchcraft, as it teaches that creation created itself. Do you see that this is all tied together? And the fact that so-called Christians are buying into this dangerous teaching is tragic, to say the least.

This speaking things into existence is New Age witchcraft and it is being taught in the Church through the Charismatic teaching of “name it and claim it.” This is a heresy.

As far as judging Steve Harvey, do you know that the teaching that one should not judge others is a New Age teaching? I quote again from Secret Societies, speaking about the Fifth Law of Similarities:

“According to [the Fourth Law] of Reincarnation, one is reborn in many different bodies…once as a Jew, once as Christian, as Satanist…as homosexual, as murderer…to be able to make all those experiences life offers. Thus it is absolutely futile to judge someone…since we all have already experienced [a similar] fate, or will one day be allowed to do so” (p. 351)

Did you understand that? That is why the New Age tells us that we should not judge others, including Satanists; not only because they may have or may one day be Christians, but because we have been or may one day be Satanists!

Please tell me where I can find this teaching in Scripture? And while you are at it, please tell me where in Scripture one can find anything on The Third Eye? This is strictly—strictly—New Age. And believe me, Steve Harvey believes in the Fourth Law of Reincarnation, because he believes in the First Law of Causality, as we have just seen. And you think Steve Harvey is doing all this out of ignorance. Come quickly Lord Jesus!

  16. Mankind will have to give an account. I pray that all of mankind will find JESUS CHRIST and serve Him the way we are called to serve. When we die nothing is going with us. We should look to hear the words,” Well done my good and faithful servant.”

  17. Thank you for this blog. That’s all I can say. You most definitely have made this blog into something thats eye opening and important. You clearly know so much about the subject, youve covered so many bases. Great stuff from this part of the internet. Again, thank you for this blog.”
